Would you draft Sam Howell at 10?

I know UNC hasn’t had a good year and Sam hasn’t had the Heisman year he was supposed to….but he did lose two stud RBs and his main WRs.    And his offensive line may be as worse as the Panthers one.   He’s sneaky athletic and can run and has a cannon of an arm.   He tries to do too much at times so decision making has been an issue but he’s a great kid and willing to be coached.

Any other QBs worth the 10th pick if we draft around there?

Any of y’all on here think the Panthers OL is bad, oh boy let me tell you about the Tar Heels. It is terrible. UNC signed one of the best OT in the class this week and he could come in for this weekends game and probably do better than what they have now.

QBs usually shoot up draft boards but I’m not convinced he doesn’t want to come back next season for a senior year.

One thing that does concern me is he has got to slide. He doesn’t slide.

    • Yuck.  I still kind of like Herbert but these playoff performances are rough....
    • I feel like this was the case with River and McDermott defenses as well, we just had the jimmies and the joes to overcome these deficiencies with all pro players at edge and linebacker positions.  Even then, was extremely frustrated in 2015 when we'd let team come back from 20+ pt deficits playing prevent only to barely win at the end.
    • We need to move on soon and just use Bryce as a bridge to find our next guy. I'd like to see how this offense works with Canales hand picking his own guy. Bryce holds this offense back a lot considering you draft the first pick to carry your team and be your best player. We invested heavily for Bryce and need everything to go right just to have him look like a solid game manager sometimes. When he plays well he can look decent or mid, but when he plays bad he looks like a bottom 5 qb in league (backups included). It's not worth it, especially if we need to pay him soon, which means we have to skimp all over the roster. If the defenses don't hand it to us on a silver platter Atlanta style then we struggle big time. Defenses don't respect the offense at all. With Cam we could have the worst offensive talent and I'd still think we had a shot in any game we played. If Bryce is facing a 3rd and 10 I pretty much wave the white flag and don't think we can make that first down.
