Mike Florio confirms: It's currently down to the Dolphins and Panthers for Deshaun Watson

What if the NFL actaully greenlights they won't suspend Watson this season at least unless something new emerges.  Carolina offers a mega deal.   Hou takes it to him.  Watson is like, nah...I don't like the looks of Rhule and what is going on.

lol.

That happens I think there’s gonna be some serious depression at Bank of America Stadium’s Panthers front office. That would be two high level free agent quarterbacks that basically dismissed the Panthers like a three day old cat turd laying in the corner.

That would be funny but if his #1 option is Miami he can't be too concerned with poo that's going on.

We have a better defense and easily more weapons than Miami....Miami has all the wrong things that are better for a guy like Watson.

could be more than football.  Miami just a more attractive place to be for him.  He is young and single.  All his family and past would be super close to him here.  Easy driving distance to him.  Everyone doesn't want to go back home (ish).

Yeah. Given the choice between Miami and Charlotte as a single multi millionaire....

Yea that's what I mean about all the wrong things hah. It's for sure more than about football because being in a division with Belichick and the Bills now with the Dolphins franchise that won't be having Don Shula coming back anytime soon....just show me the sunshine all he gotta be thinking.

    • Completely agreed.  TBH, we have had so many great players that are in my favorite list, and I hate to narrow it down to one, but Cam is it.  Which is crazy, because you would think it would be more of the guys I grew up watching, but no.  Cam was the single most impactful player to ever out on a football uniform imo.  And like I said in an earlier post, I always felt a kinship with him in a lot of ways…  the way he was treated and judged for the off the field stuff in Florida and having to overcome all of that and fight show at back.  And although I am not a black man, I have always been welcomed by and accepted more by minorities, and thus, I know what it’s like to be judged by appearances rather than the content of your character and who you actually are.  I know what it’s like to be stereotyped and written off or mistreated for your mistakes.  I know what it’s like to be held to a different standard while your peers don’t have to meet that same standard.  So I always related to that.  And the way he came in and just electrified the whole franchise, man…  I still think about it often how much it sucks that because of how talented he was, our staff out so much on him and that ultimately cut his career short.  You’re right, there will never be another Cam…  I think Josh Allen is the closest thing we will see for a long time, but Allen is not the running threat Cam was.  Cam could run you over or around you.  That was THE absolute funnest time to watch our team ever.
    • It definitely needs more specificity than is baked in now.
    • The weirdest encounter I had with a pro athlete was waiting in line at security at Mile High Stadium when I used to get the company suite tickets almost every week because I was the only employee based in Colorado. There's a small checkpoint accessing the suites that virtually no one knows about that you can usually squirt right through. I was standing there and looked over my shoulder and there stands John fuging Elway waiting in line behind me.  This was during the The Golden Calf of Bristol season right before he became GM. I just said "They make YOU go through security?" He's like "Yeah, ain't that a bitch. I literally have a statue out front and I gotta go through security like everybody else." I've heard mixed things about him but he was super nice and down to earth with me that day.
