okay well the salesman is going to have a whole lot of terms when he’s got two dozen other people each trying to outdo each other’s offer

You seem to also forget that Watson has a "No Trade" clause and it realistically is only going to be between the teams he would accept.

I’m confused, if Miami was the only team he waived the no trade for, isn’t that essentially saying no to the Panthers?

Whether the Panthers backed out or not, wouldn’t the No trade be waved for them is they were an an acceptable option for Watson?

They said he never said no to us, we just wanted to talk to him personally first.

Joe Person unequivocally said the no-trade clause was not an impediment to a deal with the Panthers...

Just to break it down…

It was reported he waived the clause for the Dolphins.

It was never reported he waived it for the Panthers.

Why?

Never said he didn’t either which is weird if we put in deal for him. I think we are still trying to get him and put reports out that we was out to get Houston to come down. Something is going to happen before Tuesday.

Not an impediment doesn’t mean he did not choose Miami as the thread title indicates.

Personally I think some people here, like the OP are in denial.

A response like yea it’s reported he waived the clause to Miami but no reports are saying he wouldn’t for Carolina! Or it was reported it wasn’t an impediment! Is not justification for the thread title and seems a little desperate. If the no waive was reported for Miami why not Carolina? Make no sense.

I see no reason why it was officially reported he waived it for Miami and not Carolina with out at least accepting that’s his first choice…pretty much debunking this thread title.

    • I know the offer to Lloyd came out, but I never saw that anything was officially offered to May or Donovan. Not saying it didn’t happen, just curious what the source is.
    • I haven’t scouted them to say, because I am not GM and have no say. The Miami kid, but he will probably be gone. Freeling. Proctor is interesting. Like I said I haven’t really scouted but I would look closer at him because I have seen some claiming he has the quickness and feet even at his inflated size. So I would look closer at that.  My ideal outcome is one of the top guys who are probably not gonna fall, falls and we use 19 on him. Obviously, I guess. I am  not wanting to trade up or anything - not putting it like code red at all costs, but if we get a chance to get that covered I would for sure want to take it.  Also it looks like we might be able to drop down a few slots and find a future RT at decent value which I would also be fine with.  I think if someone fell that made 19 a hot pick, then I would want to trade out unless it was a top T.  I would probably want to get a run stopper for the DL if the tackle thing didn’t fall right. That is what I voted for here because I feel it is more likely that we don’t have things fall to fit my scenario.
