"Robby Sucks" and "It's all the OL's fault" folks

I don’t disagree but if we have playoff hopes we are going to need a guy who doesn’t make you think he’s going to throw a pick every quarter.

Yeah, I don't think PJ is an all-pro, and not sure I would feel comfortable with him starting an entire season, but I'm much more confident in him than the majority of the board is and I think he is a helluva backup.  Always have.

I know the XFL was its own thing, but those guys were professionals and post-collegiate competition and he dominated.  He is more than capable.

Give me this type of Half from a back-up QB 10/10 times. You guys have surreal expectations sometimes.

They just don’t like being wrong is all it is.

PJ is not a starter, but he belongs in this league. He’s a backup, and might be the 2nd best QB on our roster with Cam being 1

Here you go.  Eat up.

It was all Darnold.

Robby has had the most production he has had in 1 qtr than he's had all season.  No sacks so far and run game more productive than it's been all season.

It's amazing what having a QB who can move and get the ball out accurately and quickly can do for a struggling OC, WRs and OL.

We won in spite of Darnold and lost almost exclusively because of him.  This team was held back for weeks because of pride...  now Cam is back and has re-energized the entire franchise, and that can't be understated, but simplified - anyone but Darnold would've done better than Darnold.

Also, told y'all about PJ.

P.S. - We're back.

You right.  Pass me that salt homie.

PJ just needs the week of practice to be competent. Honestly, he is better than Darnold. Should’ve went to him sooner

I think the fact Cam is about to take over has charged PJ up to “prove it”. If that didn’t happen I doubt he would have this kind of showing. All his bad habits are still on full display right now.

He’s played like a competent backup. What the hell are you guys expecting?

I don’t have unrealistic expectations. I just don’t want him to put the ball in danger. He stared down two WRs big time while they were double covered and got lucky only one became an interception. I’d be happier if he just used his legs? Got a few yards and got down over that.

    • I get what you are saying. I'm just saying we made it to the win, we should have a bit of class and not dogpile on the QB because his stat line wasn't great. His stat lines weren't great for almost his entire pro career, but this time, we got a win. Give him a breather.  The team cleared the bar. In the end, that's all that matters. Do it enough times and well, good things happen.  We've shat the bed enough times with good-ish QB play. It's not like we've been regularly to the playoffs even with our best performing QBs over the years. Heck, Matt Stafford was a helluva QB in Detroit for a long time with nothing to show for it. Steve Bartowski was a great QB back in the day, but in 20 years of watching I saw one playoff game for the Falcons. Heck, even Dan Marino spent most of his illustrious career on a lousy Dolphins team.  And yet, Tampa's first Superbowl ring was with the esteemed Trent Dilfer at the helm. Sometimes it goes like that.
    • I don't care what they tell me. Its what they actually do that matters. Coaches and GM's say crap all the time to keep fan interest. They are always trying to sell you something.
    • But you have to separate the 2 things in order to move forward.  Its okay to enjoy winning and its also okay to be critical of what is happening.  Coaches do it why cant we?   Also they have to be thinking next off season, next year all in real time.  They are applying what is working, where help is needed and how to get better and make plans for that.   I am weirdly confident that Dan and Dave are seeing what we are seeing and will adjust.   The wildcard however are the teppers
