....I'm sorry you keep buying into BS....smoke and mirrors.... sells tickets... not championships...

But why do you feel the need to even bring that into this thread ? It’s obviously an attempt at positivity despite a hard loss, what is gained by dragging others down who obviously aren’t interested in seeing the same opinion they could find in most every other thread today ?

We can compete with Cam even when the D straight up sucks. That's what I'm saying. Not trying to make you feel better.

Yea...I get Cam is a plus....but he can't overcome the deficiencies on both sides of the ball...we lost to a 3-6 team... so, whatever he brought to the table today wasnt enough...

Cool... we get it... you're in midair... after jumping off the cliff... so what are you actually trying to bring to the conversation?

Besides... you know... typing like this and being in unconsolable despair?

Some people try to force you to go to their pity party even when you don’t want to go.

I get it. It sucks to lose to a bad team when things were looking up. But to pretend there's literally nothing trending upward? Absurd. Our D was straight up open ass today. Trash. Yet we were in the game until the end because we actually have a QB now. Prior to Cam, this game would've been a curb stomping. Cam allows us to compete. Obviously we weren't good enough today to translate competing into winning, but two weeks ago we would've lost this game by 20+ points and it would've been over by the midway point of the 3rd quarter.

Just warning you… don’t read the “Big thanks to Cam Newton”’thread… you’ll get triggered, they are having fun in there.

    • Through 2 games cltfc has 12 shot attempts. Opponents 23 shots on target. Attack sucks, Defense definitely sucks. Kahlina is the only reason they haven't given up 14 goals in two games.
    • I met a few times--never liked him. I figured he might have had a bad day--but then realized that he must have a lot of bad days. Once he raised his voice at my son because my son did not understand a question when SS was signing his jersey.  I wanted the jersey to represent his encounter with a Panther great, not some small man with a bad attitude.  I told me son, "Forget it.  He was asking you what your name is (My son was about 7 and told me that he thought Smitty was going to write (my son's) name on the jersey.  He said "Dad, I thought he was supposed to write HIS name on the jersey, not mine."  I said, "He was personalizing it, writing it to you--like a birthday card."  He is now grown, and he has a steve smith Jersey that is framed and matted.  He keeps it is his closet.  I asked him, "Why not have that out on your wall?"  He said, "All I remember is an A-hole scribbled on my shirt.  I don't remember a legend or hero.  But he had a Jake Delhomme Jersey on his wall.  "Jake was great.  I will always remember that."  (Jake stayed and talked to us for about 5 minutes or more--GREAT guy.)
    • Is it possible for someone to regress in maturity as they age or has Steve really just been a jerk his entire life?
