Rivera played Rhule again

Wow.

We lost by less than a touchdown with a guy at QB that has been with us for a week.

They’ve had their QB for two years.

We would have won if our D line was a little bigger physically so we could stop the run.

You know Ron was 8-18 his first two seasons here. And that was with Cam.

He’s pro level because Richardson gave him the time to become pro-level.

This is such a pathetic comment , I can tell a lot of the fans on here must disregard what you are saying .
you do realize Washington had 6 key guys out right ?.
you guys played healthy

Washington didn’t even have there starting wideout / tight end / two defensive end / and there center ( both centers went down ) and you hear talking about two years we’ve had our QB?. Newton been with Carolina for years dude and been in the nfl long enough to know how the games played . Henickie hasn’t even had 16 starts yet and you over here talking about “ well we would have won if our DL played a bit better “

dude you guys arguably wouldn’t have don’t alot on offense is chase young and sweat played . Forget chase young sack numbers that Mofo stopped the run and caused a fumble the last few weeks he played .

so stop with the excuses

washington alot better than given , henickie wasn’t EVEN SUPPOSE TO BE OUR STARTER THIS YEAR IT WAS SUPPOSE TO BE FIRZPATRICK .

Also to add to this carolina fans should be mad at Rhule . Letting henickie go is gonna be a mistake panther fans will regret for a long while . If he keeps playing this way he will be a starter again for Washington next year . He’s already on pace  for 25 touchdowns and would have been better than darnold or even bridgewater .

rhule had his chance to evaluate and he didn’t . There’s a reason why Ron Rivera was coach of the year twice and should of been a candidate last year even with cancer and the worst QB situation possible .

Good post

carolina needs to find a QB next year and stick with him . Also upgraded at DE would benefit also .

Ok, you are right about the panthers woes. Healthy vs not. Heinke has been in the nfl for some yes and played up under Ron and with Turner. So that is a one up over our Qb. Ron drafted some of the most important people on this team. That's a 1 up. He knows their weaknesses. Ron is not a set your world on fire coach. I am sorry and glad you guys have him. Coach of the yr with the talent he had at Carolina he should have been a SB coach but no not that. He is feel good story and that's about it. Looks like he has a big stick but when the girl gets him to the bed. She finds that was a sock and all the talk was just what it was a talk. Can't handle the big moments. And yes he did Sunday bc of course it was Cam he screwed over.  He is in familiar territory.

Good luck with Ron. Yes, panthers haven't  got the best coaching staff either but I am glad they finally cut ties with Ron. Wishing u guys the best roller coaster ride ever...then again maybe now he has learned from his ways.

A few folks here are bitter or just blind but most are reasonable. As for Heinecke he was impressive and credit where it is due but 2 games does not make a career. We had a guy here named Kyle Allen who looked pretty good for a stretch with Rivera and even Darnold was 3-0 at one point. Good luck with Rivera he won't get to coach against Matt Rhule every week.

you sound ridiculous

Carolina 5-6 with the easiest schedule you can have

vs Washington with mutiple injuries have arguably the toughest schedule in the nfl . And they’ve lost because of kicking issues and henickie little mental errors .
But that’s okay that’s called developing and progressing . Many fans wanted henickie benched but Ron Rivera stuck with him and believed in him.

matt rhule does not ….. he gives up on QBs and instead gets newton back ? How much you want to bet that newton gets benched and darnold starts again?.

If you really believe Ron Rivera isn’t a better coach idk what to tell you. If Washington had Carolina schedule they arguably be at 6 wins right now .

I don't really agree with the poster you were responding to but being a better coach than Rhule isn't a high bar at the moment, and even now Carolina still made the right overall move in letting Ron go. His time in Carolina had run its course and he's picked up right where he left off there in Washington. Issue in Carolina is did they choose the right guy to replace him, and while that's still TBD the data are building and it's a mystery.

With respect to Rhule 'Gives up on QBs' isn't accurate at all, but it's absolutely fair to call the talent evaluation into question. Teddy is a bottom tier starter at best (looks exactly the same in Denver) and Sam was a reclamation project that started strong and then nosedived and ultimately sidelined due to injury. Cam was damaged goods when Rhule started and he and his rookie staff had some tough lessons with the failed Teddy experiment last year, and unfortunately may have repeated them with Sam. Lot of reason to think Cam is as much a business and football decision but no question he brings the offense up.

To some up: Ron is better if only due to actual NFL experience (starting Haskins with the playoffs on the line and cutting him the next day... hilarious), but not tough to do given what Rhule has shown to date, and the QB situation is a product of talent evaluation much moreso than coaching.
