Rhule’s fave vet has to be Big Ben. He’s basically toast but Rhule thinks he can work with him.

He was 100% done by mid-season last year. Its embarrassing watching him play this season, ala Willie Mays as a Met embarrassing. No meme, Id pick Walker over Ben for the 2022 panthers and I got walker as a great PS QB...

Doesn't matter who the QB is or who is available until they fix the Oline.

Also doesn't matter who is on the Oline if the quarterback is not good.  We can draft a qb, let him sit and learn a year while we get the oline situation fixed.  Assuming there is a qb we like in the draft (not that I trust the current group to be able to assess qb's).

How are we going to fix the oline?

I'd rather not see the Panthers Carr a promising young QB. Get the line to the point that they can consistently block 3 or 4 guys(non elite rushers) for about 3 seconds and then go find a QB. Until that happens, you're wasting time treading water.

Would you trade our 8th pick (or higher) for Baker Mayfield?

No. Although I agree Sam and Baker are very similar in talent and even appearance. I wouldn’t trade an 8 for Baker but I also wouldn’t used the 8 for Sam. The 16+range? Maybe.

I would use the 8th on Pickett. That’s Justin Herbert all day.

    • After last season, it was the same question. And the answer most people came to was "If he doesn't make the playoffs, he's gone." He made the playoffs. No matter how it was done, we made it to the playoffs. He's safe. He's going to have a chance to keep working this out, even if next season isn't a playoff one.  I think we'll do better next year than we did this season. There's something being built here.
    • The NBA is a very fickle league. Kon is one of the hottest rookies in years and beyond just his play on the court he is a very steady competitor and that translates to the rest of the team. That has been a glaring absence with the culture of this franchise through the bulk of the LaMelo Ball years that's just being completely blunt and realistic. The enigma of LaMelo Ball is he is entering year 6 and still either red hot or ice cold. We need him to find that sweet spot. Logic dictates the Hornets will want to see this core again next year. But the clock is beyond ticking at this point. It's put up or shut up. Especially considering what the Thunder managed to do recently. I'm hopeful they can keep these wins rolling in and get some much needed playoff experience under their belts which will help substantially.
    • I think as long as the Panthers are competitive with Canales they should keep him. Pepper needs to repair his/the teams image as a place prized free agents aren't hesitant to consider. Just dont do any crazy poo for a few years.
