Game On Thursday Against Detroit

Hurricanes have announced the home game against Detroit tomorrow night is still on.  Will be interesting to see how the roster is filled out if Aho, Jarvis, Staal, Svech, Lorentz, and Cole are out.

We are at cap. So we most likely will be playing with 7 forwards and 6 defense.

That's utter and complete bullsh!t. The increased possibility of injury due to having guys on the ice twice as much as they normally would be is fugging ridiculous.

I can't believe the NHLPA is allowing the NHL to go forward with this, especially given how early in the season this is and how easy it would be to modify schedules to accommodate everyone.

Need to set the minimum roster for a game to have full lines and pairings with an alternate for each. No way should 7 forwards be expected to roll the whole game. They're going to have to run it like a pickup game. So stupid.

Or expand the cap to allow us to call up enough players.

NHL needs to reschedule this. This is just not good hockey. Why would they think it's good to showcase a team that's missing all of their stars?

You would think with us having 100% vaccinated, they would give us more leeway. They're acting like it's our fault and have never been vaccinated.

Florida Panthers are now down 5 + some coaches/trainers. 
 

The league just needs to do a hard stop before the entire thing implodes. I don’t give a poo if they have to change their schedule. Player, coach and fan safety is more important. Play the games at practice rinks if the venues are booked.

The season needs to be suspended until after Christmas, we’re risking players not been able to spend Christmas with their families by playing in these games right now.

After Christmas the NHL Either needs to bring back the taxi squad or create an LTIR Covid list that allows teams to call up players from the AHL without worrying about cap space.

It's going to look like a 5-on-5 penalty kill with a bunch of gassed Canes players protecting their own net.

Hell, if I'm the opponent I'd be short-shifting my guys and just run rampant up and down the ice all night.

If we play this will be the most ridiculous decision the NHL has made during the Covid era.  Hard stop needed to stop the spread...any dummy could figure that out.
