Remember how before Cam got here so many people were saying our oline was bad but not as bad as when Cam was here?  The tone seems to have changed again.

There were very valid concerns but few thought it would be the worst in franchise history. What does all this say for your boy Rhule?

At least Elf showed great tape before we signed him. You can’t blame the coach for that right?

Ray Charles could see this coming. Dude has been terrible everywhere he’s gone but we threw a big contract for someone who isn’t even a decent backup.

we are really good at thinking we can reform shtty players...

And Marshall and a long snapper. Humphrey and Smith appear to be good starters for KC.

Hurney and Fitterer got us Little, Brown, Marshall and an IR’s long snapper whose name I don’t know.

New Orleans, Tampa and KC got McCoy (and didn’t give up their 3rd), Wirfs, Humphrey and Smith

We could have Wirfs, McCoy, Humphrey, Smith and Moton as our OL. Oh, and we could have had Maxx Crosby for the 3rd we threw away as we had him in for a private visit and we took Miller when Crosby was gone (after both of our 3rd rounders). McCoy was also a private visit.

SMH, our OL was a piece of cake to fix if we just actually tried. I don’t think Hurney or Fitterer really did try to fix it. Instead we picked up Paradis, Erving, Elflein and Jordan. Lolz, it hurts so much thinking about what we was staring us in the face and we pushed it aside and said no thanks we can make Little, Erving and Elflein work. fug.

as i said, questions need to be asked

Hes not my boy.  I have no idea if hes HC material or not but I dont think anyone does when you have an almost entire roster churn and all rookie coaches in a season and a half time.  Theyve definitely made mistakes.  That's how you get experience.  The question is what do you do with your mistakes.

The people who tried to say Cam’s OLs, which had 5 different players who were pro bowlers and/or all pros, was worse than the poo OL we have now were being dumb. I said as much to them. Ridiculous to compare Gross, R. Kalil, Turner (in his prime), Norwell, Williams, Oher and Moton to Moton and 4 turds. Heck, I’d take 2014/2015 Remmers over everyone except Moton.

Exactly.  It just irritates me that now that Cam is back everyone that argued opposite beforehand are jumping on the bandwagon of what I've said since the season started.  There are all kinds of problems with the franchise currently.  It's hard to judge anyone individually.   Any qb out there is at least set up to fail.  That wasnt how a lot of people felt until recently it seems.  I still feel the same.

Rhule had almost complete roster control.  If the roster churn happened, it's because he wanted it.

Here's the issue.

There have been five coaches in the history of the NFL who have had two losing seasons to start their career, then gone on to have 8+ season and a SB appearance with that club.  Since 1980, there has been ONE.

The question everyone should be asking is "Do I believe Rhule is capable of breaking forty years of history that says it's time to cut bait?"

The excuse about who and what he inherited is long gone my friend. He's been the top dog and made his own decisions that have worsened our predicament. He also chose this staff. The answer to your question is you stop trying to look at college coaches and bring in some real NFL experience.

    • Look, I've been pounding on the Canales shouldn't be calling the offensive plays thing since last year. He's first off, not very versatile and makes Ron Rivera look like a master of mid-game adjustments. Also, because I think you really, really need to be calling the offensive plays from the booth with a better view of the whole field.  A coach on the field cannot grasp how the opposing sideline WR is doing in coverage while also checking the two receivers on his side, plus keep up with how the line is doing and if the RB is in the groove. Heck, for the line alone he doesn't have the best view of where the RB is going to see success and how to best exploit it. Hence Rico saying, Yo coach, keep running this.  Still, all these things in there, no matter how hard I'm banging on that drum, I can't let it drown out my joy in getting one of those rare Ws. Even coaches can learn and grow from them. I sure hope he will.
    • I fully understand the questioning of Dave and BY, just the timing of your concerns is my problem. NFL is ultra hard to pull off the perfect game. In all my years Ive never seen a HC have the perfect game plan and have great play call after great play call.  Tmac has helped in every game, honestly more than I thought he was going to show. It does look like he was in fact the reason to trade AT and allow Tamc to feast on his targets. I have re-watched the wins, I have seen Tmac get red zone looks. Brother, he's about the 80-90% of passing attack. Dave is young inexperienced HC and he's learning on the job, hope he improves along with BYs confidence.    Its going to be alllllll right, trust me as your co-pilot.
    • You cannot hate his character, but he is holding the team back. There is so much we can't do because of his limitations. It just is what it is
