Agree, but a top 5 pick could really bring in Day 1/2 draft picks in a trade back scenario.

Last draft, the #6 pick went for:

2021 #12, 2021 4th, and 2022 1st.

The #10 pick went for:

2021 #12, 2021 3rd.

That additional 1st rounder would be huge in 2023 when we may still be looking for QB/OL help.

Being able to trade back and still acquire one of the top OL prospects + gamble on a QB in the 2nd would be incredible. Or grab the #1 QB but still grab OL in the 2nd.

Either way would be awesome, but I'm concerned about nobody wanting to trade up plus these assclowns picking another CB 😭

Let’s pretend we are able to successfully trade back twice in the draft and look at last years draft for reference.

So assuming picks are valued similarly  this year and we have trade partners, we could potentially flip a #6 for around:

2022 1st rd pick #20

2022 4th rd pick #123

2023 1st rd pick

2023 1st rd pick

2023 4th rd pick

I don’t think anyone would be mad at that. I would then use pick #20 on a QB and heavy on OL for the rest. Start the QB you draft next year and if it goes terribly, you are in prime position with draft capital to move up for Bryce Young in 2023. You can also flip the #20 QB for draft picks like the Jets did with Darnold to further build OL. Who knows? Maybe the QB you draft is solid and you’re left with tons of draft capital to address other holes. I believe Fitt can and will attempt to trade back.

The Lions, Giants and Steelers have their eyes out for Kenny Pickett from Pitt.............he looks like a Josh Allen type QB with even better deep ball accuracy..........

All I want from this game is for brady to get badly injured

You talkin gettin Romoed Thomas Davis style? Or more of a Theismann kind of thing? Me... I'd be fine with a good old back breaker like Carson Palmer took from Greg Hardy.

I hate wanting to lose and when the game starts I will be pulling for the Panthers to win.

That said, Tampa Bay and New Orleans needs to keep winning.  Tampa wins out they could still get the #1 seed, so they'll be motivated.

New Orleans is in a battle for a wild card spot.   So they'll be focused.

Unless our O-line somehow manages to do what they haven't been able to do since we started the season.  I don't see us improving on our 29th ranked offense.

    • PFF feeds the beast.  So it’s largely popular for that IMO and is embraced by the NFL machine because it helps feed the beast.  Thats why you see the cute stats pop on the Monday Night football screen lol.  Hot takes? Fantasy football? Yeah, it’s good for the NFL machine for lots of reason.  I do think the league embraces them.  Not because they are actually good at doing what they claim. actual analytics folks are critical of PFF.  Because it’s not analytics.  It’s subjective goobly goo ratings by dudes that aren’t really qualified nor even have the info to do real grading.  you got legit NFL players who say they have literally put PFF grades by the coaches grades and they are worlds apart.  Players have laughed at them pretending they can grade certain plays without the underlining info.  NFL coaches have called out there bologna at pressers.   could it be a quick tool to find out some info that has nothing to with their subjective grades? Sure.  There is a lot of data on 32 teams for cheap. But I do not buy the narrative 32 NFL teams think their grades are worth a poo or remotely accurate or meaningful.
    • Bills D looks like ass
    • I think that win vs Dallas gave them a big boost of confidence.  Thats a team that blew us out the past 2 seasons. Even when Bryce was playing okay late last season they still beat us pretty bad.  Lets see if we slaughter the Jets or go back to playing sloppy uninspired football and go from there.
