Lol. Great question. 7 sacks but the OL gave up 1. Jordan had like 3.5 and the tackles didn’t give up a sack?

Not sure where PFF gets their stats but there seem to be 6 sacks missing. I do recall BC not even moving towards the blitzer who lit up Darnold for the fumble, so maybe if you get fooled by the stunt inside of your DE that you should just ignore the blitzer going right past you so it doesn’t impact your rating.

I’m fairly certain Darnold was sacked more than twice and hit more than once.

Pff thinks 5 sacks were on Darnold. That seems high, but a couple definitely were.

Yep, this worries me even more the thought that we could do something dumb at the draft because BC is deemed worthy after a couple games. I’ll be pissed if we pass on a top LT like we did in 2020 because Hurney wanted to give his Little another chance. BC looks OK but the dude should. His age and experience should have made him game ready day 1 so getting fooled on a stunt and not even recognizing the blitzer coming straight through the hole where you were is concerning. Maybe he can work on it but geez, he’s only 2 years younger than Moton, who had started 32 games at this point.

I know Rhule sucks but damn all this BC talk really had me worried we’ll screw up pick 6 and not take a LT again. People thought Miller was a good guard before this year.

When it comes to drafting a team should almost think of having 3 starting tackles.  They are just too hard to find in free agency and too valuable on the field.

Worse case he is your swing tackle when someone gets hurts, which honestly usually happens at some point in the year.

I'm not pissed because I think BC is the answer at LT. I'm pissed because we've only seen him 2 games so this year and it's pretty obvious he should have been starting a long time ago. We should have seen Brown by now too, but it's the same story, different position. We have to address the oline. I just don't trust Rhule to do it. I feel like we need to trade down unless a stud LT is available, and even then, I'd possibly consider moving down a few spots, but only to pick up Linderbaum and possibly a couple extra picks in the 2nd and 3rd to grab some guards. And even that is going to depend a lot on the combine and who is available and where they are projected to go. We need to focus on our line first and foremost.

I may go back and watch the game before MNF if I get bored and time stamp the sacks.  I am almost certain one of the sacks was from BC getting bullrushed and the defender got his hands on sam.  ANd I am almost certain BC completely missed a block for a straight ahead sack.  Now was this a miscommunication or did BC simply mess up?  I may try and watch again to see.  But to say he was average is kindof a stretch.  Sure he was better then the crap previously but what that means exactly I have no idea

There are 3 stud LT in this group.  We will have a shot at one if not all 3.

Yeah, maybe since no one looked at the blitzer on his fumble, that’s on Sam. Looks like he went OB twice and was legit sacked 5 times. ESPN has 8 QB hits and PFF has 1. If it’s 1 hit and it was Miller’s assigned sack then PJ Williams coming over LT untouched was blamed on Sam. That’s a bit generous to our OL.

I am probably too salty about this line and this season in general but the line play of the past 2 weeks is some of the worst football all in all I have ever watched.   Yesterday was really bad.

Rhule also blamed Sam for Williams, it sounds like something he should have recognized and gone to a hot route for.

Still, there were other plays that felt like they were on the OL completely...

The totals listed at the bottom of the tweet that Zod posted at first don't add up to the totals to the players pictures, which some of the stats might be on backups.

Also the quick write up by PFF after the game had us at 18 pressures, which PFF is quick to say that is a very preliminary grading.

If someone had the higher level subscription to PFF we could check for sure.

Also I would be curious to know how PFF and ESPN define hits, knockdowns and pressures.  I'm guessing there is some difference between the two of them.

I do know that PFF is fond of saying that sacks are a QB stat as much as an Oline stat and usually they attribute more to the QBs than a fan would.

I wouldn't pass on a top LT in the draft for him.

But if Rhule does decide he can be relied upon to handle the LT job, well then he'd be free to spend our top pick on a quarterback, now wouldn't he?

That was my revelation this morning.  This fuging moron thinking he has the line figured out

Not sure if the CFP will hurt Hutchinson, but he, Thibodeaux, Hamilton and Stingley are all top tier guys and could easily go before us. Throw in the top QB and it’s honestly not a surprising scenario where we have our pick of 3. I’m kind of hoping Neal goes first and we pick one of the other two because he kind of strikes me as a RT in the NFL.

I dont get all the x is a LT now but will be better at guard or RT in the NFL.    Kiper said Slater would move to guard in the NFL and he is now a pro bowl LT.  I think it comes down to coaching.  I did see Neal body slam a pass rusher on Sat.  Just got underneath his shoulder pads and lifted him up.  It was glorious
