Unfortunately for CMC and Jon Beason since someone posted him they both were plagued by non contact injuries. They were also usually deep tissues / ligament injuries. In a game like football, if you are injury prone and it isn’t due to the hits and or violent nature of the game, it’s probably a side effect from increased PED usage. Users end up pushing their bodies past their natural limits and things like ligament tears, sprains and strains, pulled muscles etc, become increasingly more prevalent.

I remember reading a study done about the correlation between steroid usage and non contact injuries in the NFL and the risk for players who abused PEDs was significantly higher. Sorry, but just looking at McCaffrey and Beason, those guys don’t look natural and both have suffered numerous non contact injuries through their NFL careers. Some guys frames just can’t support the added muscle mass along with the speed and agility needed to be an NFL player. Connective tissues just start tearing and popping.

We don't know for sure the above two guys are guilty of what you're implying. But, I can definitely understand your reasoning.

you would think he would be all for it..

extends his career and he would get paid more if he were to put up numbers.. which im sure he would.

I think it’s his ego that prevents him from accepting that role. Maybe in his mind it would mean that perhaps he isn’t a between the tackles running back if he accepted that.

He looks great but he has to be better prepared for the season and each game.

I'm sure many of you who were athletes know how a hamstring injury feels and occurs.  It's one of the worst feelings you can have.  When I blew mine out I had a bruise from my @ss to well below my knee.  Not only couldn't I walk but it was very painful just to sit down.

Sudden bursts and movement is a major reason.  We all know those bursts and sudden movements are what makes him so good.

He has to do more stretching and preparation for each game.

Hopefully the injury bug as moved on and he'll play most of the season.

These kind of posts really piss me off. Random dudes from their texting from their couch pretending to know better than professional athletes, in this case even an elite one, and the whole training teams behind them, not just Panthers but personal. Safe to think that Christian fugging McCaffrey and the hundred people supporting him have figured out how to freaking stretch and prepare a game. No way that's the reason why he's been dealing with injuries.

Related to the strech and warm up, it really stood up to me when I got to see Panthers live at London, CMC was the first out on the field for a good hour before anyone else. A great entertainment for those who got there waaay too early like me and my dad.

Anyway, I agree with you on your good whises regarding the injury bug, CMC is a prime player and really changes how teams prepare against us. If he stays healthy I would rather have him than a 1st rounder, even with his contract. I hope the FO will be smarter using him this season.

This clown fan base appears to forget the 3 seasons of nearly 100% snaps played before a string of unlucky injuries due to over utilization.

If only some of you gave him the slack you have given other players with injury history.

It’s obvious as to why he doesn’t get the same pass. I’d venture to say it’s the same reason many of you wanted to pass on drafting him.

Over 700 touches in 2 years.  Luck has nothing to do with this

As an expert in the field of strength and conditioning, rehabilitation, and biomechanics I’d bet the house that his pre game stretching routine has little to zero effect as to why he has been injured.

Nah I’ll just let some of you continue to play the ignorant card and bait others as they bring objectivity to the debate.

I think its that damn hot girlfriend of his.  "Women weaken legs."  Heard that from a professional boxing trainer one time.

I think the injury issue is clearly a result of overtraining. I get these guys want and need to be in the best shape possible but CMC seems to hit a point of diminishing return. Maybe less muscle mass and more rest would Keep him on the field 🤷‍♂️
