Well currently we look like the favorites to land the #1 recruit in the country. GG Jackson is a 6’9 PF and the #1 ranked recruit and currently the rumor is that he’s leaning towards us. So if the core returns then we look damn good next year

GG is currently in the 2023 class and the talk about him reclassifying revolves around a potential commitment to South Carolina which doesn’t look like it’s going to happen now with Martin gone.

But that 23 class could be real special with Jackson and Wilcher.

Very excited for Trimble and Washington (assuming the ACL’s hold up). Jury’s out on Nickel, he looks really good but he also played in one of the worst HS basketball leagues I’ve ever seen.

I think Garcia will transfer to some school around where he lives, he just never seemed to gel with the guys.

Walton I like, but I don’t think he can truly play defense the way Hubert wants, he looks like he’s moving in slow motion out there. It sucks because I like the kid.

McKoy I think might transfer to a lower level school where he can ball out. Somewhere local in NC or VA.

If you asked me today I would have told you Bacot, Love, and Leaky were gone…. with the way it ended for Bacot just basically hobbling across the floor, Love having one of his worst games all season, and Leaky missing nearly half the game due to foul trouble… I think all three come back for some revenge.

Yeah, Walton reminded me so much of a young Forte last year but I just don't know if he's quick enough to stay in front of ACC guards playing the type of pressure man D Hubert wants to play.

Not sure about Love and Bacot. Both terrific college players but I'm not sure about their NBA prospects. Love is a classic combo guard. Doesn't really have the court vision of a PG and is undersized in the NBA at SG. He really struggled on both ends of the court tonight dealing with the length of the KU guards and that's every night in the NBA. Bacot definitely doesn't have prototypical NBA athleticism but the guy has more than held his own against legit future NBA centers. I think he can play a long time in the league, particularly if he can add a reliable 15-17' jumper to his game.

Damn. I was thinking he was coming in next year. That’s unfortunate.

He might… never know. I believe he’s able to reclassify and if Hubert doesn’t find what he’s looking for in the portal as far a stretch four he might just tell Jackson to go ahead and reclassify.

I’m not sure if another Manek is out there. I just know KJ Williams from watching Murray State in their conference tournament and in the NCAA Tournament and he looked solid.

At the end of the day, we shot 32% from the field and 22% from three and we STILL came three points shy of a national championship. We did it by fighting our fuging asses off. Out-rebounded them 55-35. We couldn't hit water from a boat from the field but we shot 82% from the FT line and that kept us in the game.

One of my absolute favorites to watch. Such an old school baller. Just silky smooth. So smooth he looked slow but he couldn't have been because no one could guard him.

That guy single handedly delayed 8-20. With him taking all the attention, guys like Capel and Lang looked legit. When he was gone and they were the focus... uh oh.

I'm mad AF. This was inexcusable

how, 4 guys got hurt

it was the most injury free season of all time and it finally caught up to us in the final game. Love ankle, bacot ankle x2 manek x2 elbows to face, puff getting gut shotted and leaky picking up 4 fouls with 15 minutes left. it was so close. Kansas was the best team though, they deserved it.

    • Biiiiiig eyeroll on this.  First, Look at historical stats of the most recent historical great DBs.  I plucked 3, Revis, Sherman, and Norman (cuzz he was our guy).  Combined post age 30, there are TWO pro bowls between those 3 and wanna get this...ZERO seasons with 16 games started.  ALL missed time.  It is RARE that Corners survive that long in the NFL and its about time we started recognizing this fact.  Jaycee is a good bet because it hasnt been anything seriously devastating injury wise, and with his sample size he could and should be an incredible piece for the panthers through age 30. Jaire kinda flops on the other side, hes 28...so hes under 30, but he wants his payday before it comes up, hes also been injury prone lately.  Bulk of the contract will be on opposite side of 30.  Will both of these guys help us be better in 2026?  SURE!  No doubt, but the question is, will these guys help us past 2026...not sure. The investment isnt worth the risk, nor would the ROI be anywhere close to worth it.  Neither guy is moving us from a 6-8 win team to a 8-10 team, period. My point is we're in this state a 6-8 win team IMO and he projects us as  a 4-6 win team.  EVEN if we think Jaire or Ramsey will make us a 6-8 win team, it in NO WAY is worth the money or capital to move that much just to suck kinda less.
    • I assumed he was retiring but apparently he plans on playing multiple more seasons.  Florida is gonna have trouble holding onto everyone.  Happens to all teams that have that much success.
    • I hate Marchand, but if he became a free agent.....
