No TE was taking get a TE some where..

We just got Tremble last year and traded away Arnold. Considering we paid Ian Thomas to come back like he was a Middle Tier Starting TE, I doubt the team thinks we need a TE. That said, I'm not sold that we don't. I would not mind collecting someone to compete with those two.

I want us to steer clear of Willis, he isnt a NFL QB right now, and may not be for a couple years, if at all.

Agree. I could see a team like TB or Minnesota rolling the dice on him. Teams where he absolutely would not need to play right away and could comfortably sit and learn.

We usually carry 3 TE on the roster.. Other then Stephen Sullivan who is our 3rd TE..

I've got my eye on Asamoah in the 4th at LB. JoJo Domann is a sleeper I'm watching. He's a former safety who will be a LB in the NFL. What makes me most interested is that he actually plated almost exclusively as a nickel CB this year at Nebraska. H's 6'1" 230. This is a coverage and pass rushing league. LB size with that type of cover skills? Sign me up.

I got my eye on Sterling Weatherford S Miami (Ohio)..

In a year he can develop into a fast long  coverage LB.. 6'3 230 now.. He just needs to learn the position..

Maybe just sit in the 4th, and take whichever QB is left there that's got the biggest arm.

Best QB available there is what I want. I'm even fine with dealing a future 5th to get into the late 3rd if need be, but there are a few QBs I'd like to see available when the pick comes up.

59% completion rate, never cracked 4k yards in his career despite having Steve Smith and Muhsin Muhammad. His team carried him to the super bowl and has only made one pro bowl; he may not be trash like I said but he's below average

Delhomme is a saint

I like former safeties at LB. Like I said, this is a cover and rush the passer league. You need to be one or the other at LB. The old school thumper LBs who are liabilities in coverage are being phased out. Same thing at safety. If you can't cover you can't play.

That's been my late round wishlist all draft season..

A little bit of a developmental project but that's what you do 5th thru 6th rounds..

I also like Amar Bormare Long skinny but fast pass rushers specialist..

    • I wonder if they'd consider trading Rasheed Walker to a team that needs tackle help but missed out in the draft?
    • LOL. This is such a Panthers fan take.  Anyone who falls to us must suck because some other team didn't take them before.  We got lucky with Lemon, Thieneman, and Freeling all falling to us (honestly any of the three is a A+) but the WR and S positions are much deeper than the LT position in this draft.  We got the LT w/ the most upside at 19.  Mauigoa played RT in college and some think he is a guard in the nfl.  Spano played RT in college and some think he is a guard in the NFL due to short arms.  Blake Miller played RT in college and is not as good as Freeling.  Proctor is a true LT but his ability to handle quick edge's worries me (see Icky).  Freeling is a true LT and a gifted pass protector.  Many think he has a very high ceiling and will benefit from not having to start right away.  This is how you build a franchise.
    • After watching Cam get killed for years behind a bad Oline and having to watch the 2021 and 2023 Olines I will never complain about this team putting resources into that spot.  We got a true LT who could really push Rasheed Walker for the day 1 job. Go back and watch Iceky's draft profile from 2022 and all the talk was Ickey would be an all-pro guard in a zone blocking scheme, but he could play LT in a gap power run scheme. That's why Ickey looked really good when Wilks took over and we just started running gap run plays and just mauled people up front but under Canales we've been more of a zone running team. Ickey can survive at LT with his pass blocking but his true strength will always be his ability to just move guys in the run game and that's a skill set that's better used at guard.  Take another OT later on day 3 to learn from Moton to take over RT in a couple of years and let Walker and Freeling battle it out for the day 1 LT job then next offseason trade one of Hunt of Lewis and let Ickey move inside to guard.
