Are we really doing this… it was one throw… can you do that after playing a whole game?

Not one scout has said that he has elite arm strength. He’s got great arm talent and an elite release. His arm strength is ordinary by NFL standards and simply put the QB’s that are running RPO’s at a high level have better arms (Mahomes, Allen, and Herbert). The one QB who also runs RPO’s a lot who doesn’t have elite arm strength is Tua… we can all see how that situation is going.

If you truly think that Corral’s arm strength is on par with Mahomes, Allen, and Herbert then we have nothing to talk about because we won’t see eye to eye.

77 yards

This is why I’ve blocked most of the people on this board. Can’t have an actual conversation with someone and do some stupid poo like this. I feel bad for your significant others (if you are blessed to have one) if this is how you behave when having a conversation.

Why do I have to be a sheep when I can have my own opinion?

This board is supposed to be for football conversation not sucking off the FO.

I gave a very valid reason for not liking the pick. There is only one QB in the NFL that ran as much RPO as Corral did and it’s Tua. So Willis can be trashed for his system but Corral can’t be disliked for his?

There are very few people on this board that actually have real conversations when it comes to football. The rest either blindly follow the team like sheep or hate every move.

I stated that I loved the Ickey pick and gave valid reasons for liking the pick even though some question his ability as a pass protector. I gave a valid reason for why I didn’t like the Corral pick as the system he came from doesn’t produce NFL QB’s.

Instead of getting any real conversation back people post fugging videos of what one guy said because they have no knowledge of the game of football. Instead of pooing people’s posts people need to provide a valid response to a valid concern or find something else to do with their spare time. If my comment bothers you but you don’t have the intellect to have an actual football conversation with me then block me.

I am here to talk football with the few that have any sense. Not cradle the balls of this franchise and cheer their every move.

I said "What I find funny other than one or two of you."  You were one of them.

That said you're not the expert.  Why can't you wait to see before spouting off whether or not he's going to be Tua.  Someone else responded to your post and said play action will be a very big part of our offense which Corral has plenty of experience with.

Corral has the arm to throw deep accurately.

Most of you that I listed wanted someone else so you have come up with some lame reason why he's going to fail.

He may be terrible in 2022 but so have many other HOF QBs so let's see.

OK, I apologize if I've made you mad.

You can disagree without resorting to ad hominem.

Why are we here if we are just going to wait to see how he does? Shut down the board and let’s all meet at BofA for a prayer circle if we can’t have disagreements about the team.

I can dislike the pick and not hate the kid (which I don’t). I will also pull for him and I hope he succeeds. If he does, I’ll be the first to say I was wrong.

I’m glad whistle sports thinks so… what pick do they have again? I don’t have to go to YouTube to have an opinion.

Mahomes, Allen, Herbert arm strength > Corral

It was just the first example I found of someone saying he has an elite arm. But as I said above, I apologize if I've made you mad. I regress. Please continue thrashing the kid.

We didn't get Willis, man. Move on. Cam's not coming back, move on. We have a chance to have someone beat out Sam, be happy. Don't be like the Cam Haters (that'd be me) for years who ruin game day threads. Give the kid a try.

    • I admit it. Done it a few times but he had something in that video that I'll confess to.  First, never wanted him in the draft, and really was strongly against selecting him. I don’t really see anything that tells me I am off base yet. So I expect him to maybe look better but even so, her is the point: Donnelly asks if people that want him to fail? He has to kill it this year to get me off of that train.  I feel like him being average or game manager and like, the 23rd best QB if he improves.... I don’t want that again in ’25 and ’26. If our QB is gonna be mediocre, may as well take another shot at better.
    • A write up on Panthers schedule from NFL.COM Carolina Panthers 2023 RECORD: 2-15 · NFC SOUTH: 4TH Carolina Panthers' complete 2024 NFL schedule Strength of schedule: .467 (T-29) Bye: Week 11   Three marquee matchups: Week 5: at Chicago Bears, 1 p.m. ET on FOX Week 10: vs. New York Giants, 9:30 a.m. ET on NFL Network (Munich) Week 12: vs. Kansas City Chiefs, 1 p.m. ET on CBS   Biggest takeaways: Bryce Young takes on Caleb Williams, Jayden Daniels and Bo Nix within four weeks. The NFL clumped together the rookie quarterbacks on the Panthers' slate in 2024. Young takes on the Bears' Williams in Week 5, the Commanders' Daniels in Week 7 and the Broncos' Nix in Week 8, giving us an on-field comparison of where the 2023 No. 1 overall pick stands in his development versus some of this year's crop. Heck, if something happens in Atlanta and Michael Penix is in the saddle by Week 6, Young could square off against four consecutive rookie QBs. Not only does the stretch give us a chance to see Young against his peers, but it also gives the Panthers a chance to make some hay against other rebuilding clubs, potentially.  Brutal stretch to close the season. New coach Dave Canales' club had better get off to a hot start, because the end of the campaign looks rough on paper. Coming out of a Week 11 bye, the Panthers play five of their final seven games against 2023 playoff teams, starting with Kansas City, Tampa Bay, Philadelphia and Dallas in consecutive weeks. That's a ruthless stretch for a young team hoping to gain momentum looking toward 2025 and Year 2 of a new regime. But if the Panthers come out with positive results, it will be clear that Canales has built a solid foundation. Shut out of prime time. The Panthers are the lone club without a single prime-time game on the docket for 2024. Carolina's one standalone match comes against the New York Giants in Germany, where they'll meet former Panther Brian Burns, a first-round pick in 2019 who was traded away this offseason. It's a bummer not to have any prime-time games, but we can spin this positively. Canales' young bunch has the opportunity to grow outside the limelight and pressure that comes with those night tilts. Learning to win is a big part of developing in the NFL. If Carolina can string together a bunch of Sunday afternoon victories, there will always be flex options for the league later in the campaign.    -- Kevin Patra
