Duke, and say this respectfully, ain’t gonna be in the B10 or SEC. They bring absolutely nothing to the table aside from basketball. Nothing. Which is gonna suck because it means UNC/duke will turn in to UL/UK where they’ll play once a year on a neutral court.

UVA, UNC, NCST, Louisville, ND would be the ACC teams most likely to head to the big ten.

All current ACC teams have an agreement that if any team leaves for another conference they will forfeit their money. It ain’t happening in the next decade but in 20 years there will probably only be 2-3 super conferences. B12 and PAC12 are toast ACC would probably be next but That’s a lot of what ifs.

Duke would fit in the big East which is predominately a basketball league. Wake and Va Tech?

The media slobjobbing of the SEC has really gotten to some of you.

I hate the SEC. All their C- institutions (minus Vandy), their trailer park and frat boy my dad owns a dealership fanbase, and Paul Finebaum can ALL EAD.

but the football conference is legit and has really good players and teams. Sure, it’s not as good as people say it is but it’s the best conference.

Wake basketball would fit in BE as well based on their footprint and what type teams they have but their football program is above the big East.

I have opinions on stuff but I don’t think anyone on earth has an idea what these greedy bastards are going to do.

It’s still pretty top heavy of late….with too much noise coming from fans living off the fact they simply play in the conference and that’s it IMO.  That’s the most annoying part IMO, fans of teams that don’t do anything talking about playing in the SEC.  When they can’t even beat okay teams in weak conferences on a Sat

I mean you right to an extent - UF, Auburn, Tenn three heavyweights have been down recently. LSU hit the reset button. Who knows what you got with USC and Mizzou.

Yep just read that UNC, UVA, Clemson, and FSU are currently in talks with the SEC. The article stated that 6 schools are required to leave to potentially break the GoR. That potentially leaves just two more schools. I also have been told that UNC already has an offer from the B1G. I suspect the next two weeks will be crazy, if any of this is true.

Only need Notre Dame and Georgia tech to the Big 10 then.

SEC fan and alum here. The reason the SEC football is so good is that every team minus Vandy has a chance to get better quickly. Yes, there are blue bloods that will always be good, but others are able to flourish as well. In the ACC, Clemson is traditionally very good, but after that the competition is no where near what you see in the SEC week end and week out. Play Bama, Arkansas, LSU and Texas A & M in 4 consecutive weeks and your team health suffers.

The SEC will only take teams that expand the tv dollar, and as such the rumor is that they are talking to UNC, UVa, Clemson and FSU. Sure we would take ND but that isn't a realistic option.

Mizzo was added because when negotiating the last contract, ESPN told the conference that the St Louis and KC markets would increase tv dollars.

As for my Big 10 brothers, I laugh when I hear you say the SEC is over hyped. Of the big 3 dollar producers in NCAA sports, there is football, basketball and baseball.  In the last three years, the SEC has won all three championships in both football and baseball. And a different team won it each year. That's something that the Big 10 will never touch no matter how many new teams they add. Enjoy watching the SEC dominate

So the latest news is that the ACC no longer wants a partnership with the remaining PAC12 as there may not be enough schools left to have a partnership. The ACC now wants to invite Washington, Oregon, Stanford, and Utah. The ACC is exploring how to add those teams without breaking the GoR, which is why the term partnership is used. It looks like Arizona and Colorado are going to the B12. So the addition better equal the value of B1G or SEC or at least 4 ACC teams will bolt. Meanwhile, all conferences are waiting on ND to make a move. Wow it is about to get crazy folks, buckle up.

Wake would just hate this. Travel cost would kill them.
