Bruhhh… weren’t you just in the Elflein thread stating that people only like PFF when it fits their agenda?

Exactly!! That’s why for YEARS NOW!! I’ve never used PFF stats in a debate or argument or felt like they were relevant in general.. i just love when ppl have used PFF ratings to form 1 opinion and poo on them when it goes against another..

PFF is flawed.  But there isn’t really anything better.   It’s about as good as it gets.

But yeah, impossible to grade a lot of stuff when you don’t actually know the playcall.    And there is just some gray stuff where you aren’t going to know who was asked to do what.

Exactly.. this a major reason why I don’t use their stats.

1. they’ve never really explained how they grade things anyway..

2. How can you grade what a player was supposed to do on a play when you don’t know what play was called..

I’d rather use my eyes and the opinions by former players and analysts who played the game..

Well you seemed fairly happy with Elflein’s overall rating… why aren’t you content with his grade against the Saints?

I'd like to see the separate grades for pass pro and run blocking. I'd imagine Bozeman would be equal in pass pro but an upgrade in the run game, I haven't seen any 22 footage of this game but that seems like the difference between the two in general

Where exactly did I say any of this?? Or glorified PFF stats??

Don’t worry Ill wait??

See the thing about you is that you straddle the fence because for some reason picking a side or maybe the result of picking a side and potentially being wrong… it eats at you.

It’s a message board so you don’t have to take it so seriously, but it doesn’t take a psychologist to realize that you certainly had a more positive reaction to Elflein’s overall grade and a negative reaction to his grade against the Saints.

    • I believe I just read somewhere that the Rams don't do Top 30 Visits. I mean, it makes sense from the standpoint of trying to keep information close to the vest.
    • I'm not sure 19 is too high for Rodriguez anymore.  He looks to be moving up boards, but it could be smokescreens.
    • I see XL this way---great athlete.  Good person.  When we drafted him, we knew he was raw.  One year of WR in college (starting) and in HS, he was a QB, I believe. We knew we would need patience with him.  I think year 3 will be make or break.  He is older, and I think that people with his athletic ability have always been better than those with less---but those with less can become more successful.  Why is that?  in my view, it is mental. XL can learn the mechanics and nuances of playing WR if he becomes focused on it and works at it.  I had the opportunity to talk to Armanti Edwards one day after OTAs (great guy) and he discussed how overwhelming it was.  He seemed shocked.  At that time, I knew that Fox hated the pick (I heard him mock Armanti to another coach when he saw Edwards drop a punt from a jugs machine--then I saw Armanti look back at Fox as if to suggest that he was feeling the pressure to please the coach. We forget that these are kids in their early 20s.  At the time, Fox was a lame duck.  Remember when he had Clausen as the #3 QB and was forced to move him up the ladder?  I liked Fox, but I think the climate and culture was influenced by the politics.  Currently, I see another Wr from SC who is struggling, but he is ina  very nurturing, positive culture. Let's see what happens with XL.  I am frustrated too---but XL was a second round talent who was raw and we traded up to get him.  He had 500 yards as a rookie--lets call 2025 a sophomore slump and see if we can't get at least 50 yards per game out of him.  If not, cut bait.
