Or Jordan Love, Paxton Lynch, Johnny Manziel, Teddy B, Brandon Weeden, The Golden Calf of Bristol, Brady Quinn, Jason Campbell, JP Losman, Rex Grossman and Patrick Ramsey who are the other QBs selected in the 1st at 20+ in the past 20 years.

Yep. Sure, you can find a QB outside of the top 10 but damn... your chances are a helluva lot better inside the top 10.

We have two QBs on our roster right now that are proof #1 and #3 don't mean squat either.

The QB market is gonna be extremely competitive in the offseason.

1. Panthers- lol just look

2. Bucs- brady most likely gone

3 Falcons- Is Ridder or mariota really a long-term answer

4. Saints- Winston and Dalton look lost without Payton

5. Lions-Goff isn't it

6. Texans- Mills hasn't shown anything this year

7 Colts- Matt Ryan is done

8. Commanders- Wentz is who we thought he was

9. Pats- Mac and Zappy both look average, and Belichick is a wild card

10. Seahawks- Geno has played really well this year but he's not a long-term solution

If we win the division, we will be picking behind all of these teams except the saints in a draft with only 4 1st round QB's. So, it'll either be us biting the bullet and trading up or another year of rolling with a Vet QB and kicking the can down the road.

No surprise a person with WeDon’tTank as his name is annoying as hell.
Guess this is the new Darnold/Teddy fanboy-like defender.
Funny thing is if we were 1-6 and lost to the Bucs all these anti-tankers wouldn’t be here.
But we beat a bad Bucs team and all of a sudden certain fans think we are hot crap.

Yep I have never seen a more competitive QB off-season then this one. Whoever wants to trade back can ask for a premium.

Same can be said for top 10 QB’s (not throwing shade, I want a QB too lol) like Russell, Locker, Rosen, Mayfield, Darnold, Leinart, Gabbert, Carr, Harrington, RGIII (injuries did him in), Bortles, Trubisky, Leftwich, Mariota, Winston, Young, Bradford, Sanchez, and Wentz. It’s going to coming down to scouting and finding the right guy. Draft position can always be fixed.

Every QB market is ridiculously competitive. Every team fits into  one of three categories.

1. Has a legit top 10 QB.

2. Has a guy they think can develop into a legit top 10 QB.

3. Looking for #1 or #2 with QB at the top of their priority list.

    • I mean, I think you're being a little hyperbolic with the last statement, but point taken.
    • Pass rush was the biggest issue in tonight’s game, and we were tied for 28th in sacks this season. That is a major area of need that has to get addressed this offseason. I just don’t see a path where there’s a game changing QB you can bring in with where we are drafting and quality of veterans that will be available. We certainly can do better than Dalton as a backup, and should ideally have a developmental guy  (perhaps a day 3 pick this year). We have bryce for one more year on a reasonable contract and then I think 2027 is the year that you reset that position (unless he massively improves).
    • Agreed, honestly basically bringing this group back as a healthy unit would be alright.  Brady Christensen should be resigned to a very reasonable deal with him recovering from the Achilles.  Atleast we're alright at 4 of our 5 spots with Lewis, Mays, Hunt, and Moton, Nijman was decent.  While if we can snag a deal on someone, take a stab, however our resources need to go to Linebacker, Pass Rush and a real option outside Tmac (coker is amazing, but if we can get someone who isnt braindead opposite Tmac, we can fully unleash Coker AND Tmacs full potential, cant move him into the slot if racoon boy is out there licking doorknobs).
