Yall did play for a national championship last year right?

Look at this team this season,  good or great talent and upperclassman at that.

No coaching at all.  None.  Watch his post game and hear him say “at the end of the day” a million times.  So ridiculous that UNC loses to a Duke team starting 4 freshmen

UNC is getting great players recruiting wise but damn…can Hubert coach them?  Fuggin so furious when this team is sucking so bad

UNC is certainly not playing to the high level that the talent they have would suggest, so inept coaching could have a lot to do with that fact.

Duke got punched in the mouth by Miami at the start of this one and has been getting stomped ever since.

I am curious as to why Duke agreed to schedule a game at Miami two days after the big rivalry game.  I didn't think they would win this one, although it was a lot more one sided than I thought it would be

From what I've read the conference creates the conference schedule, not the schools, so Duke didn't have a choice. I didn't think the game would be that one sided either. Duke never stood a chance.

I do think the schools have some say in it.  They almost have to, especially since many of the arenas are multi use.

But yeah, Duke may not have had much of a choice.

Loved Hubert as a player and last year's late season run was pure magic, but this year's team has the same issues. Lackluster defense. A lot of one on one ball on offense. I don't see much off the ball movement or any real game plan. Our best post entry pass is a missed shot.

Last year I bought that we lacked talent on the bench but I don't buy it this year. The staff doesn't seem to be developing depth and Hubert seems to sub at absolute random as minimally as possible.

We'll see how the season finishes up and we'll see how he does when more of his guys get onto campus but I'm just not seeing much coaching to be impressed with if I'm being honest.

Schools have little to no involvement with the conference schedule, out of conference sure, but not conference. Mack Brown has already come out and complained about the way Carolina’s 2023 ACC football schedule is lined up.

We're absolutely terrible right now.

Gonna have to just hope we catch lightning in a bottle and catch fire again. I just don't see any semblance of coaching happening. We either make tough, contested shots or we don't. We don't have a natural PG on the roster and the offensive system doesn't create any easy opportunities.

    • With Schoen and Dan Morgan being tight I’d figure we knew this was coming and since he is released, Dan didn’t bite.    But, a quick search says this is at least 80% cap related. They have No cap space and save 8 or 9 million with releasing him.  He has been a captain his entire time there. 145 tackles this year.  They are picking 5th with a new staff and looking at Styles. Hitting that age 30 season and had a disc issue last year (meaning 2024) that did not require surgery.  I haven’t really watched him play but he activated the antennae.
    • OK, we are letting our top RB go.  We have Chuba, Etienne, and Brooks.  Imagine a player who could LEGITIMATELY play the slot and back up at RB?  I am sure he'd be a special team player as well.  I noticed him at the combine, and thought, "Here is a late rounder who could stand out as a slot and provide depth at RB. Without further ado....(I know one Huddler who might be able to tell us more about this guy): Navy running back/wide receiver Eli Heidenreich headlined the 2026 NFL Combine for the Midshipmen, running an official 4.44-second 40-yard dash and recording 16 reps on the bench press. Recognized as a versatile, "Swiss army knife" offensive weapon, Heidenreich solidified his draft stock as a potential day three target.    Eli Heidenreich (RB/WR - Navy) 2026 Combine Performance: 6'0" 200 lbs.   40-Yard Dash: 4.44 seconds. 10-Yard Split: 1.55 seconds. Vertical Jump: 35.5 inches. Broad Jump: 10' 0". Bench Press: 16 Reps. Highlights: Showcased as a premier receiving threat from the backfield, having left Navy as the program's all-time leader in receiving yards (1,994). High character.  Smart.  Maybe, just maybe....
