Damn he's really tarnishing his image fast.

Disagree. Dude let it be known that just showing up ain’t gonna cut it. He has zero loyalty to any of the current buffalo players. I loved it. Challenged them from the jump. Tar Heel basketball and football team need a talking to like that.

I watched that entire video and yeah some of it was some corny showmanship but you can not tell me he isn’t gonna challenge his players and recruit very well. Certainly looks like a home run hire and people clowning on prime are gonna wish their school hired him in a couple seasons.

I disagree.

He abandoned his players at JSU but then told them not to enter the portal.

Then he shows up on day one and tells kids they are done.

Some of those JSU players are coming with him. Deion took a promotion. Most people would have done the same.

Bear with me.

He doesn't need to work he has generational wealth. So he doesn't need a promotion.

He said he was going to change JSU Football and HBCU Football forvever and put them on equal footing as P5 schools.

He told his JSU players that he's not bringing to not enter the portal even though a lot of them had offers originally from better schools and programs but only went thete based on his word. Now some might be stuck. Especially those that transfered in.

I was a huge fan of his as player and as a coach. I thought his plan was very admirable.

    • He makes a good point about Wallace.  In fairness to Wallace it is hard to play your position as freely as you need to when your defensive line is getting pushed around like ragdolls.  One of the greatest attributes a defensive line has is sucking up blocks, freeing up your linebackers.  Our defensive line couldn't suck up a lollipop more or less blocks.  I think Evans, Sanders and Tremble are going to be a really nice TE group.  I can see all three getting time on the field.  If Sanders can improve as a blocker teams won't be so inclined to believe it is a pass play whenever Sanders is on the field.  Ryan Fitzgerald, I think was an awesome pick-up. Hopefully he can fill our kicker void. Luke Kandra many turn out to be our next Norwell.  Everything I have heard about him says he's a beast.  He needs some refinement, but the good news is he's got Hunt and Lewis (arguably the best guard tandem in the league) to learn from.
    • Great teams build through the draft and have several young players that start that are on rookie contracts. It's important to hit on players in rounds 4 thru 7.  These should be future starters and solid depth.  When you hit on most of your picks you free up a lot of cap space for those one- or two-year players to fill spots you are thin at. No GM is going to perfect on all their picks.  You're going to whiff every once in a while.  That was Hurney problem.  He'd nail the first pick but after that it was reach after reach and we couldn't get any depth on this team. I'm excited about Morgan as our GM and hopefully he'll be around a long time.  It will be even better if Canales can continue to grow as a head coach, both in the development of young players and play calling. I remember last season after Young came back in the lineup and started to perform well.  We saw different plays I had only seen other teams use.   If Canales's play design and play calling continue to grow. Morgan and Canales will be linked together for a long time.  It would be nice to see a Coach and GM together for a decade or two. Go Panthers
    • They also came out for the encore and the singers were dressed in canes jerseys. Pretty fuging cool.
