considering how the Eagles just dismantled them, part of me feels that he was strong on getting rid of Brown and that has blown up in his face

Possible, but they've been a pretty good team during his tenure.

Cowden was formerly part of the Panthers organization and he's had GM interviews before. Guess now they'll get to see what he can do.

Looked up Robinson's resumé to see if he had any connections here. He does, and it's a longstanding one.

Robinson and personnel guy Pat Stewart spent about a decade working together in New England. They were there during some of the Patriots best years.

Ready to move on from your Fitt crush? 😄

I'm not for firing Fitterer, but I wouldn't mind adding Robinson to our front office.

From The Athletic (link)

Robinson is the only general manger in franchise history to oversee six consecutive winning seasons.

Tennessee earned playoff berths in four of the past five seasons. The Titans advanced to the 2019 AFC Championship game, compiled consecutive AFC South titles the past two seasons and earned the AFC’s No. 1 seed last season.

Since Robinson took over in 2016, the Titans have the ninth-best overall winning percentage (.606) and fifth-best winning percentage in divisional games (.667).

The team's statement basically indicates they think he's done a good job, just not good enough (i.e. no Super Bowls).

Probably some internal politics and stuff there too. There just about always is.

I'm not sure Fitt would like having a former GM with a much better record sitting in the office looking over his shoulder. Egos would probably clash.

Don't really imagine that being a problem. He's not the type.

Hell, the guy worked under Matt Rhule 😕

    • You don’t even need 1b because Tepper is the only one foolish enough to wheel that deal.    Player wise? Jake’s elbow. JR and Pep getting sideways, no Carruth, Cam’s shoulder, Luke’s concussions, it would be a long list of stuff. You can take it down to certain plays in games. Fox chasing 2 point conversions in the SB would be on my list. RMJr slipping at the end of that same game was not helpful.
    • Ultimately this just amounts to heavy revisionist history. I mean you aren't talking to someone that just popped out the womb a week ago. I was here all throughout the predraft process. The overwhelming majority of the fanbase felt like this was a fine situation and the best situation for a rookie QB to go to compared to Houston for example. The hype for Young and our "rockstar" staff was off the charts. No one could dare speak cautious skepticism of his abilities or they would be neg repped into oblivion. Only after he had one of statistical worst rookie seasons of the last 25 years did we get this narrative now that his rookie season actually shouldn't count. Complete malarkey if you ask me.
    • On the field? Since I guess it qualifies as multiple instances it might not count, but have the damn refs throw some flags on illegal hits to Cam's head in SB50. If that doesn't count, 1A. Cotchery caught it 1B. Kasey keeps that kickoff inbounds. Off the field? 1A. Team is sold to anyone but Tepper 1B. We have the patience not to mortgage the franchise on that Bryce trade. Stroudwpuldve been the better pick but he's not worth it either.
