I don't like it. 58 yard kick has a much higher chance than a hail mary.

The Carolina kicker can’t make it there.  We need to look at the entire coaching staff and #1 IMO is Mack Brown.  To start 9-1 and finish 9-5 is a massive failure.

The man cannot field even a decent defense.  Fed the fug up

You don’t think he is being compensated at UNC? Come on now.

Of course he is? $5M? I highly doubt that.

Dude's a top 5 lock next year if he's playing in Athens. We all saw Howell's stock drop like a rock when he has to play hero ball and turn into a glorified fullback because our entire offense fell apart. I don't think that's gonna happen again next year but I know for damn sure it wouldn't happen at a UGA.

Don't get it twisted, Drake Maye is taking a huge risk coming back to UNC and not bouncing to a powerhouse.

Sure, but for how much. He is losing his #1 receiver and the last QB that happened to went 4 rounds lower than expected. If he went to somewhere with a real offensive coach he would be put up pinball like numbers.

Maye is much better than Howell. A generational QB.

and have y’all maybe stopped to think about the fact that it’s possible he doesn’t want to leave? It’s so painfully obvious which posters here are poor because their lives revolve around money and telling someone else how to live their life. I’d be shocked if Maye isn’t getting some serious cheese from UNC.

I find it funny when people act like athletes shouldn't be about the money when every single kid in undergrad would bounce out of school QUICK for a seven figure job offer. Like fug a degree. I can come back and get a degree later if I want.

But for some folks, the greatest accomplishment of their life will be that college degree.

I agree with this... but do we know Maye isn't getting significant money from UNC?

I'm sure he is. I'm also sure that his NFL stock would be a lot safer at a powerhouse program. He's taking a big risk coming back to UNC. Especially with an OC and offensive staff changes with guys leaving to follow the OC. Don't get me wrong, I wasn't a Longo fan, but it was in Longo's offense that Maye out up big numbers.

I'm a homer but I'm also a realist.

Guaranteed he is getting nicely compensated at Carolina and he deserves every penny.

Like I said, it’s obvious he doesn’t want to leave UNC. Who are any of y’all to tell someone else how to live their life?

UNC should be in the conversation again next year for the ACC.

    • See that's the thing what I saw in game 2 was so embarrassing id rather they could just forfeit
    • Are you arguing that his height deficiencies and footwork within the pocket have not been a present issue clearly seen on his game tape particularly in the games he struggled in? Because that's simply denying what everyone in this fanbase who have watched the games have seen. It's interesting how hardline BY fans here quickly and effortlessly pivot from whailing about being victimized to becoming the aggressor and hurling out allegations of bias and hatred. And at the end of the day while Bryce Young clearly improved significantly from the first two games of the season the reality of the situation is he still finished 42nd in yards per pass attempt behind Mac Jones and tied with Caleb Williams and 38th in passing yards per game behind the likes of Gardner Minshew Aidan O'Connell Drake Maye and Will Levis. Furthermore it took Bryce Young 23 games to surpass Panthers legend Kyle Allen's 13 games worth of passing yardage in 2019. So if your argument is he became a head and shoulders better passer over the course of the second half of the season the reality is we're still waiting to see that growth this season. And there is nothing controversial or vitriolic about saying so from the mind of a rational observer.
    • Cam regularly threw for less than 200 yards and nobody questioned he was elite. He averaged 219 yds per game for his career.  You seem to be way too hung up on yards as a stat.  By that definition Jameis Winston should have been MVP by now.
