What I've also taken away from this is, no one should listen to Aaron Rodgers' recommendations.  It's clear Rodgers makes those guys and not the other way around.

Yeah. Tbh I thought he’d be a good hire. Seemed to be a good teacher, smart and he got rave reviews outside Rodgers too. But it’s so bad and they have to do something to recoup the investment in RW that he needs to be gone. It’s unfortunate because normally you’d like to see a coach get 3 years.

They don't have a choice. They're stuck with him for at least two more years due that contract. They can't afford to get rid of him prior to that. They won't be able to field a roster.

Not if they do one of those old-school baseball star contracts, or they spread this money out over five or six years. They may just have to eat that money and spread it out so it doesn’t go against the cap as much. Either way, this is one of THE WORST nfl contracts of allll time.

But will they be able to attract a good coach with the team inextricably tied to Wilson?

You can only spread it out if he is on the roster and you can add years, he is already for six years with base salary between 44 and 50 Million in the dummy years. With his incentives to change anything being zero they will just have to eat it.

Or shorter, they fugged themselves and the herd they rode in on.

According to Peter King, the cap hit on cutting Wilson would be $107 million. I don't think there's enough spreading to make that a workable number. They are stuck with him for now.

    • there is one common denominator in the 2003 & 2015 Carolina Panthers teams they both had ELITE top tier Qb play.  it would require a MVP type of season from Bryce Young to have the same type of success that Jake Delhomme had in  2003 & or Cam Newton in 2015 & lead this team to a SuperBowl is this going to happen or is there any reason to believe Bryce Young is capable of playing similar to Jake Delhomme in 2003 or Cam Newton in 2015 ? well no there is no absolutely NO reason whatsoever to believe that this is going to happen in 2026 ..just saying
    • I'd actually like to see Cherelus get a fair shot to win the job in camp. Wallace is decent in drop zone coverage, but he gets abused in the play action game and is often times out of position in the run game. It might just be me, but I swear every time I watch Wallace play, I see multiple plays a game were it looks like he's just trying to be blocked. Watching Cherelus last year he at least looked like he was trying to hit someone on every play. Wallace plays like a LB who doesn't trust what he sees and it makes him passive and cautious versus Cherelus who regardless of if his decision is right or wrong goes at it 100%.
    • Agreed.  Hasn’t happened to me either, but I feel very strongly about it.  That’s not just one of the worst things a woman could do to a man, it’s a power inherent to only women and is one of the worst things a HUMAN being can do to another.  A man can’t “hide” a pregnancy or maternity.  It’s impossible.  And that sucks for anyone that has to go through that. I always got a weird vibe off her and just found her very unlikeable.  Annoying even.  I’ve always been good at reading people and there was just something about her to me that was off-putting, somewhere under the surface.  And here we are…  she is despicable.
