This is actually a good sign. He’s actually thinking this through and weighing all his option. No Drummond or Hurney is a big W too. I wonder which candidate they told they’d do a finalist group interview?

Also from that Athletic article, growing belief in the league that Payton doesn't lead for the Broncos job. 

 

Makes me think he finally agreed to meet them for leverage purposes with Carolina to make sure he gets the 20m a year deal he wants.
