I like Coach.  Stand up guy.  Hard to not love  him

but his conservative nature works against him and whether that’s real or a perception is certainly up for debate

that nature showed it’s head against Tampa

mid rather he tried fir that foot ir yard then punt

Never disliked Wilks the man, just never liked Wilks the coach.
Player coaches tend to not have much success unless somehow the talent around him drags him to it.
He already said his isn’t really a strategist.
Usually success is sporadic. A playoffs birth every few years, and maybe, just maybe a Super Bowl birth.
Yeah I still blame Rivera for Super Bowl 50 and not adjusting or doing anything to help Cam.

damn just called out person

That minority head coach stuff has to piss off minority head coaches. They keep getting categorized and compared against each other instead of the rest of the league.  I really appreciate the way Todd Bowles spoke out about it the media, basically calling them the divisive ones.

Exactly. IMO, that's the problem with homers and the Bleed Carolina Blue 4 Life crew. NEAT ... he's local and a stand up guy! That means NOTHING. You know who else is a stand up guy? Sam Darnold. And no one wants him as QB. Hell ... if we wanted a stand up guy as our coach we should've just kept Rivera.

People that want the team to be elite need to stop wanting these good ol boy feel good stories. They get you nowhere. Give me a psycho like Belichick who eats and sleeps football 24/7 and hates every person on the planet lol. Give me an offensive mastermind like Payton who probably sins 24/7. Those guys usually win.

    • I'm looking at the schedule and I see a 10+win season easy.  I think Carolina goes undefeated in the division.  I also believe that the Bears, Bengals, Lions, Browns, Steelers are very winnable.  Revenge game with phillips and the eagles could be a win.  Honestly only 2 games I see as chalking up a L to off the bat is the Seahawks and Broncos.
    • I guess so. Don't think I was involved with previous discussions.  Tepper is one of the newest owners in the NFL. Dan is going into his 3rd season as a GM - ever. Dave is going into his 3rd season as a HC - ever. Before becoming a HC, he was an OC/playcaller for one season total. Idzik is about to go into his 1st year as a play caller - ever. WRs are rookies, sophomores and 3rd year guys - though the experienced 3rd year guys are XL and Coker (who has missed a ton of games). TEs are guys going into their 2nd and 3rd seasons, and Tommy Tremble - though Sanders has missed a ton of games. QB has played 3 years. Chuba is an experienced RB, but Brooks and Etienne have taken very little snaps at the position. O-line is more experienced vets with some talent - which is HUGE. Need them to stay healthy. I mean the offense is very young in every aspect except O-line. You see it differently?
