According to our insider here, the staff isn't waiting for pro days.  Their mind will be made up after tomorrow and they'll make their move accordingly.

I hope it's AR, and not just because of the combine...  the combine just enhanced his value.

is the insider line sarcasm or serious?

I dont think there has ever been a priority in drafting a QB based on their RAS scores... if he comes out and misses throws... teams are not going to want to leverage the farm to get a project, he will drop in the right spot to be picked. I like the kid, but im not going to jump the gun and say he is the number 1 overall pick in this draft yet.

Bruh ... take a look at Tom Brady's 40 time and vert! Then do Mahomes' 40! Then Josh Allen's 40! Those guys had butt times. I bet they sucked as NFL QBs.

Cam 2.0 with elite world class coaching.  fug it I am down.  Give up what it takes to go to 1.

Stop, Cam had a 66% completion percentage at Auburn, AR is 53%. I get the physical comparison, but we’re talking about QBs. AR is nowhere near the prospect Cam was as a passer.

Ball placement. He’s hitting guys in stride. They aren’t having to slow down and wait for the ball to get there. I noticed it too. On. The last three drills the other QBs have not been on point with placement and Stet has been so it stood out.

Youre not worried about ball placement here nesscesarily, they are throwing to a spot.   They are running with a different wr every pass and theyve most likely never worked with any of them or have any idea of how fast/slow they are.

Anyone saying Richardson is all combine hype needs to google his games and watch cutups. He navigates the pocket superbly well and can make every throw. He needs to work on consistent mechanics, timing, and putting more time in the film room. However, you can easily see him improve throughout each of his games with these deficiencies.

He's uber athletic, young, and is everyone seems to love him in interviews. I wouldn't be surprised at all if he goes first overall.

On the other hand, Will Levis I still do not like. I didn't like his games from this year, or even last year when he was healthy. He's athletic, but nothing too special. He reminds me of a less athletic Sam Darnold.

Exactly.  His numbers today is just the cherry on top.  He has a shoulder cannon that can make touch throws.  He just needs coaching.

    • CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- Carolina Panthers coach Dave Canales said Friday that starters will play in the first two preseason games, stopping just short of admitting he made a mistake last season holding them out. The plan includes playing quarterback Bryce Young, who got off to a historically bad start to the 2024 regular season that got him benched after opening 0-2. Carolina opens their preseason schedule Friday at home against Cleveland, followed by an August 15 road game at Houston and August 21 home game against the Pittsburgh Steelers.   Canales said he will evaluate after the first two games whether starters will play in the third game. "Kind of going through it last year, we had a mix of veteran players, but [this is] predominantly a pretty young team,'' said Canales, who has at least six new starters to the defense that was the worst in the league a year ago. "I just can't pass up the opportunities. The reps in games are valuable. "[But] it goes to the night before, when guys know they're going to go out there, they've got to make a decision to play football. So it starts the night before with the prep. You start thinking about your plan, taking care of your body, making sure you get your rest.''   https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/45880676/panthers-starters-play-first-2-preseason-games-says-coach
    • You call the Cowboys purely for information, but we don't have the assets to pull off any realistic trade. Also, even if they would consider any trade, it's more likely they want to do it with an AFC team.
