People are ignoring Hooker but his stats were ridiculous the last 2 seasons.  If he turns into another success story is not impossible

I really wouldn't just the Air Raid offense. Good kid but also 26 is just a huge turn off for me. (in quarterbacks, not women.)

Not impossible but I struggle to see it because I remember how pedestrian he looked at VT when he wasn't playing in that Tennessee offense. Did he pull a Hurts and improve tremendously in a different setting? Maybe. But I honestly doubt it. IMO he's a 3rd round talent.

This is true but the Seahawks just resigned Geno Smith to a big deal at age 32 because he was really good last season.  26 isn’t old if the guy can play

I wouldn't count him out just yet. Fitterer has mentioned his name on more than one occasion. They've met with him once already and I think they plan to be at TN's pro day where I'm sure they will meet with him again.  I've made a mental note of it.

He is normally a third round talent…I agree.  Everyone needs to realize that this is a weak draft overall.  Hooker is a sleeper.  He was remarkably efficient the last 2 seasons

Yup and we still can draft a QB next season too. People are so damn desperate for a QB now that three 1st rounders, hell the next decade of 1st rounders, could be on the table.

Musf Hov Muh Rouky Qartarbock!!!!

58 TDs passing vs 5 int in the SEC over 2 years is killing it

Lamar Jackson in college: 57% completions. Pros? 63.7%

Drew Brees in college: 61.1% completions. Pros? 67.7%.

Dudes having better completion percentages in the NFL compared to college is actually fairly common now. That perception of it being the opposite stopped being accurate like ten years ago. People can stop using Josh Allen as the only example now. Sometimes you have poo teammates in college. And their WR in the NFL make a lot of those catches that get dropped in college.

Man, you are going down with the AR ship.  I commend you for fronting for your boy but the excuses you are making for him are crazy.  Peace brother.

Compare Hooker with AR the last 2 seasons,  tell me who is the more talented QB.  Please explain

Only because he got hurt. If he didn't get hurt he would be right in the first round QB talks.

I literally advocate for trading up to number 1 for CJ Stroud in every thread. I’m just pointing out the notion that only Josh Allen improved his accuracy from college to the pros is inaccurate. Look at my post history. I’ve been leading the CJ bandwagon since like October.

    • I know it's only been training camp and one preseason game, but I think T-Mac has already shown his floor to be exactly what I said about him in the pre-draft process. That his floor if he never improves his game, is as one of the best #2 WRs in the NFL, if not even still a low end #1 (i.e. a 25th-ish best WR in the league). I think it's safe to say he's already established himself as our #1, and there are only a small handful of teams in the league where I don't think he'd be their starting #2 WR in Week 1. Bengals (Higgins), Dolphins (Waddle), Eagles (Smith), Bucs (Godwin if healthy), Rams (Adams) are really the only teams where I think he'd be the #3 as a rookie in Week 1.  A few others like the Lions (Williams), Bears (Odunze), Seahawks (Kupp), Commanders (Deebo), where he'd be the 2b to start the season, just because they're vets and/or already have a year or two of experience with their team/QB. And even having said that, I think by year 2, he's better than every one of those players (And no, I'm not saying he's already going to be better than a prime version of Adams, just whatever he'll be at 33 next year), and same goes for Kupp, but that's more because it seems like his body might be quitting on him in a way that hasn't happened to Adams (yet).
    • Well to be fair, Horn not practicing right now to let his stitches heal up from a car accident isn't something that should be concerning.  Sure, you don't want him missing practice leading into the season, but it's one that once healed, won't have lingering affects or fear of re-injuring it, it was just bad luck.
    • Quality backups are absolutely important. This franchise has been plagued with depth problems. That said, there is a little bit of dismay that Mays can't beat out a 1-legged man, and all the talk going into the off-season was how BC would certainly be gone since he had position versatility.  In the end, it doesn't matter too awfully much, as I would be shocked to no end if Corbett makes it through the season. We know what we have in reserve, and that should surely be better than trying to sign random fat guys mid season to try and take over.
