If you had told me that we would sign a starting DL, a starting S, and a starting C for a combined $20m per year (rough average)-on the first day of tampering, I would not have believed you.

I would have assumed something closer to $30m  (Bozeman about $9-11m, Bell about $10m, and Shy for about $7-8m

Foreman is still yet to be signed, which means we probably lowballed him a bit ($3-4m)--

Based off Sporttac and the reported contract’s we have a little over 7 mil left to sign people. That does not include any money saved from the Shaq restructure because I haven’t seen details on it.  Hopefully extend burns too to save a bit. Sign Campbell then Hurst/Geiski and let’s go get our QB

Not allowing the shaq money to be seen, thats smart....dont let the agent know how much is truly available...

I dont see how they could sign some top 4 TE, unless its some 7 year deal......

(i bet the agents know..)

Yea, I can not speak much on shy. I do like Bell as a player, high on him draft and hes been earning the starting spot for years. The numbers, tad high for my taste...speaking for a safety.....I think that was one of the parts of panthers they alway got right- dont pay safety(unless its minter)......bell is just like mint, leader and good person overall.

Boze was the best signing of ANYONE today. 10/10 here.

Plus I looked down at the failcons and what they gave to a safety, LOLLLlllllololollol. Glad they still dont have any DE/edge help, plus their WRs and RBs are panther-like too...

I have not figured out tampon bay signing dean while 55 million over the cap....

What about something like Corral and a 2024 4th or 5th round pick for Hopkins?

I'm guessing they're looking for a 3rd for Hop, but something like that could work and I think it would be totally worth it for us to do.

They might not want to pay for a FA QB if they think Kyler won't miss much time, could be an interesting trade as Corral at least would likely fit in the same offense they put together for Kyler.

I like the Broncos WR's via trade Sutton/Jeudy.

IF FA get OBJ for cheap 8mil a year deal. Or Allen Lazard on a similar deal.

Other than that I don't like this FA WR class.

OBJ isn’t coming for cheap. We need a solid WR and one via the draft. Meyers and Juju are young established slot WRs and we will have Marshall on the outside. Draft a WR like Tillman in the 3rd and we have a nice young core.

Hop is making like 30 mill. They need to eat a good chunk of that salary.

His Cap hit is 30, his salary is 19.5, which means he'd only be 19.5 towards our cap as the 30 includes the portion of his signing bonus.

Sign him to a 1-2 year extension at the same time and we can lower that cap hit by a decent amount and structure it in a way that it really doesn't hurt us in the future much either.

    • I used to think Juan was a Zod alt. Agree he's a great poster.
    • Hawks said nah we good and sent him to the shadow realm aka the Wizards. Cold blooded. I mean they're 2-2 in a series with a young up and coming Knicks team largely through 34 year old CJ McCollum. Even if they ultimately lose the series at least they are there and have something to build on. I think Hornets fans are just beaten down and lack the objectivity to assess the situation. They think we are going to get so much worse if and when we finally change gears. Worse how? We've already been a lottery team for years now. We've already been looking to win our first playoff series in about a quarter century. We already can't get past the play in and in failing to do so we have completely embarrassed ourselves twice looking like we don't even belong. Honestly there is absolutely no excuse for a team like the Magic to be more competitive and successful than us in the playoffs. Absolutely disgusting. But that's just me. I was fuging lit when we got the Hornets back in Charlotte but that is old old news. It's time for these boys to get into a playoff series. Enough is enough. If they can't do it for 2026-27 then they need to make wholesale changes regardless.
    • Not one single pick that is asking me why we drafted a guy in the first place. It was a guy we needed and/or a guy that had certain traits making them stand out. Best of all, I feel everyone we drafted are capable of stepping onto the field this year and have a meaningful role (even Kuwatch on special teams). Obviously, nothing is guaranteed but I'm not seeing any huge flags on guys because they're risky projects or massive overreaches.
