I've been thinking the same, noted over the last couple of days carving out some small space I didn't think we'd really need unless we want a strong vet WR to pair with Terrace.  May spend second pick on another position (CB), and draft some depth later.

With the early rumors about Mecole and him posting a photo of himself in a Panthers jersey, that seems to just be pending an announcement at this point.

We’ll see with Chark. I mean he’s a startable X receiver. Marshall flanker.

Could a trade may be brewing though? Could be a guy going into a contract year…Gabe Davis? Higgins? Just mindlessly speculating

Reasonable speculation.  Creating more cap room and the FA deals we've done so far don't have huge hits for this coming year either.

 

Bell - $3.1M

Hurst - $3.1M

Bozeman - $3.07M

Tuttle - $2.88M

Sanders - $2.75M

Dalton - $2.13M

      I would like to see the Starters in the first 2 preseason games get about 2 series each.  The final game should be those that are fighting for a roster spot.   Plus I don't expect to see any real difficult plays being run. Very vanilla

      AR was never ready to be the opening day starter, just like Bryce. These rookie QBs are rushed into service when they really need time to develop and learn without the pressure of being the immediate team savior. I liked AR with the right HC, not Frank, and always thought he'd need some time to get up to the NFL speed and competitive level. He probably would have learned over the course of the year that running repeatedly into NFL defenders as a QB is a recipe for a short career. Cam was the exception, not the rule.
