Florio's job is to stir the pot.

It sure as hell isn't to be knowledgeable.

Pretty much every good source has said that Tepper isn't influencing the decision, but Florio has a mindset he's always gonna run with 🙄

Florio is terrible but in terms of Tepper seeing is believing. One could point to 2021 and say well he didn't step in and push them toward Fields. But all we have on that are whispers that he liked JF anyways. And this is a different ball park altogether given the investment to secure the pick. I'll begin to believe it when they put out the behind the scenes from this years draft in the coming months.

Yeah but some or most of that was definitely Rhule. Teddy bruised his ego really bad when he went public with criticism. Darnold was the perfect rebound after because he would never rock the boat.

“I think when you get to quarterbacks and NFL in general, you always want to try to figure out, do you have the best that’s in the position of this right now?” Tepper said, via Alaina Getzenberg of the Charlotte Observer. “And that’s constant evaluation and re-evaluation of that. And that’s what we’ll constantly go through.

“It’s an ongoing process and it’s a question of who can be that guy that can help you win. That’s the most important position on the field. … Unless you have that guy for sure that gets you to playoffs and Super Bowls, you have to keep reevaluating that because that’s the only thing that matters is Super Bowls. And until you have that guy, you’re evaluating, evaluating, evaluating every year.”

Rhule was an egomaniac. But I don't buy that Tep is fully hands off. Bringing his wife into the team operations was surprisingly welcomed by many here considering all the things that were said about Richardson having his sons help run the team years ago. Hopefully it shakes out for us alright in the long run. Even a blind squirrel finds a nut once in awhile.

    • Cant take him seriously because he likes Bryce sounds about right for around here
    • OK, let me first say that I can't get any Twitter link to embed--using "X" or "Twitter" or whatever, and I'm tired of trying. Now, I must say that I see Panthers stuff in Facebook on occasion as I'm part of some group, but I see Panthers stuff even less on the cesspool that is now X, but as a follower of the official Panthers Twitter, stuff pops up on that feed too. I guess that I shouldn't be surprised that agents of the organization would be putting out tweets like this: He's not even trying to be objective. It stands to make sense though. In order to get better information, you have to go to national sources like Kurt Warner.  I'm not necessarily trying to pick on J-Stew, per se, but I can't take him seriously, as even some past Panthers players, like Greg Olsen for example, don't seem like they're just trying to cater to Panthers Nation, just saying hollow words to make everyone feel good.  I just wonder why here on the Carolina Huddle, there seems to be more objectivity, or at least more critical thinking and serious discussion than most other social media sources on the Panthers. It's interesting. There is a significant difference.  For all the changes and the seeming decline in popularity to whatever degree, the Carolina Huddle still has its place and plays a big part in overall Panthers fandom. We want to be happy, joyous and cheer for the Panthers, but we aren't necessarily trying to shoot sunshine up people's derrières either.
