While making my way around a certain large collection of amusement parks that have a bit of a fascination with five foot tall talking mice located near Orlando, Florida, I thought it would be fun to count the different number of people I saw wearing gear for different NFL teams. In between drinking, riding rides, buying things, and acting like a five year old I figured this was a good way to pass the time walking around.

Won't bore you with all the numbers, but I did see 23 people not including myself wearing some Panthers stuff. This would put them at number five on my list, behind the Steelers (of course), the Cowboys (who knew?), the Dolphins (gee, Florida, who'da guessed?), and the Patriots (brainwashed, all of em).

Found it interesting. Apparently, I picked the one week that everyone from NC was visiting the house of mouse.

I read somewhere that Disney World ran out of Mickey Mouse costumes so they bought a bunch of Peppers jerseys.

They were looking for a big cuddly action figure who would never in good consience hit someone to temporarily fill in for Mickey.

Well, like I said in a post earlier this year, I don't see many people in the Triangle wearing Panthers gear at all. It's somewhat disconcerting when I think about it. I see more Steelers, Cowboys, and of course Redskins fans here than Panthers fans. Damn, you see more Panthers fans on one trip to DW than I see all frickin' year around here (at least half a year). It's good for me personally because I can pick up Panthers gear on clearance, like the "$23" dollar cap that I bought for three dollars last week.

I see a lot of it in the Triad, more than any other NFL team. Although not as much as I see of Wake, NCSU or Duke/UNC (choke puke ughhh :)).

Found a Delhomme jersey in an outlet mall in St. Augustine for $30 compared to the Smith and D-Will jerseys in the same shop for $90. Also bought a Washington Nationals t-shirt for $3 for sh*ts and giggles.

Kind of off the subject, but Rugged Warehouse had a rack of NFL jersey's for 16.99. Of course they didn't have any Panthers players, but they did have Peterson, Crabtree, Sanchez, Megatron, Stafford and some others. I didn't look that hard when I realized that they didn't have any Panthers players.

Nothing screams sophistication like wearing football gear to anywhere other than the game.

my daughter gets mad at me when i wear my jersey's during the summer. "dad, it's not even football season!"

football is a year round sport and i am a year round fan. :cornut:

    • If you need someone to run your multi-billion dollar business, maaayyyybe don't hire a guy whose previous work experience includes repeated blows to the head and literal brain damage but IDK.
    • Extrapolate that with every QB for that matter. I guarantee you there's quite a bit of missed opportunities and yards left on the field for everyone. Many NFL QBs deal with WRs not putting in A+ effort, subpar o-line play and other deficiencies. The great ones are able to rise above these issues and create opportunities for plays. Guys like Josh Allen and Patrick Mahomes can both play in and out of structure, as well as find ways to get yards when things break down and mask mistakes by throwing guys open, creating opportunities from nothing, etc. Bryce Young has only shown he's able to make things happen when the rest of the team picks up his slack. Very rarely does he create those opportunities himself. When this is a consistent pattern year after year with Bryce where he shows up lackluster, it's a concern. This is year three and he should be elevating the team as a first overall pick this franchise traded up for.  He was far from elevating anyone against JAX. In fact, he needed others to elevate and create for him. Excuses may be fine for a rookie, but this is year three for the first overall pick. Not looking good so far.
    • I think the worst issue is coaching. Countless bad snaps, XL not getting his feet in or trying on runs plays, our centre being down field when he didn't need to be. All seem to be from poor coaching for me. I believe Canales is to soft to rip the players a new one when the fug up. Plus I honestly believe that Canales is slow getting his plays in giving Bryce less time to diagnose and adjust to the defence. Don't worry I could of head butted Bryce for that fumble and the 4th down throw aways but the other plays are explainable to me
