You talking about Matt Rhule's upgrades? Because Fitt was powerless then and shouldn't be blamed for all the bad.  Therefore, you can't credit him with whatever upgrading you think we have done that predates this current offseason.

Overall, the offensive talent around the QB is weaker entering this year than what we entered the past several years entering with.   And it's an offensive league.

We need a stud RB.  Just having Sanders is no good.  Most playoff teams have 2-3 legit RBs.

OMG. Like I said. If you can't see the talent upgrades over the last few years. You don't want to. This post seems to fit that assertion.

again, if you deem Matt Rhule the all powerful OZ and that Fitt shouldn't be blamed for the bad stuff done in that era.....you can't credit him with whatever upgrading you think was done during the Rhule era.

It's basic logic 101.  I'm fine either way.  But you got to be consistent with the logic.

Need more than that if you want to compete with a rookie QB.  Need better top end skill talent.

Not so sure the Team feels that way. They like Chuba and Blackshear. With Sanders probably getting the majority of the snaps. Having a stud behind him is kinda wasteful.

IMO, we need to wait a few weeks into the season before we start making roster changes. A little premature after just the 2nd Preseason game. Where we were told it was going to be vanila.

I truly have no clue what this even means. I can't both blame and credit Fitts. Not sure how that could even work.

We haven't played one game. You may be right. Or...You may be wrong.

I am not getting into this with you again. You change the goalpost with every post.

If Bryce even sniffs OROY, this team will be fighting for a Playoff spot.

This is a GM thread.  It's about Fitt.

If something foolish was done.....you can't say that was Matt Rhule's fault, he had all the power.

If something you like was done you like.....you can't then credit it to Fitt during the Rhule era.

That logically conflicts.

What roster upgrades has he done on our offense? That's actually been proven in a Carolina uniform?  The talent around the QB isn't better today than what we were entering a season with in 2020.

and I'm cool w/ the Frank/Bryce/etc rebuild.  Should be fun.  But this crazy talk about going to the playoffs or it's a failed season this year is nuts.  It's like claiming Rhule/McAdoo was going to be good instead of the obvious that they should of never even been allowed to attempt a 3rd Rhule season.

If you have been paying attention you know who has been brought in the last 2 years. And there are plenty of players that have joined in the last 2 years that have, and will, make us better. I'd bet most Panther fans can name close to 10 or more players over the last 2 years.

Just because YOU think it. Does not make it so.

And if Bryce even sniffs OROY? We are competing for a Playoff spot.

Tepper is the turd in the punch bowl. This franchise will only ever be mediocre as long as he is the owner. He will be the owner with the worst won lost record at the end of the year.  Tepper hired an idiot w/ no NFL coaching experience and made him the CEO.

That is all fear based on past events. Come and join us in the present.

    • He does have speed. 21+ top end speed is very fast for a linebacker and his 3 cone drill time is considered excellent, close to elite.
    • This is awesome because you get to see the perspectives of the scouts--get a glimpse behind the curtain. I wonder whose doing this was; I am curious as to why David Tepper allowed it. Maybe it was his wife. Maybe Dan.  At least from my perspective--and probably one shared by other fans--when David Tepper bought the team, he closed everything off too much to the fans, and really didn't give an explanation. Things were obviously done because he (and/or some others wanted to do it). Remember when they used the guise of construction and all that to keep fans from seeing the team during practice? I know there are laws and safety and all that, but Tepper could've made it happen. And, of course, we all know that they essentially fired Jeremy from his independent contractor gig as a photojournalist. I never understood why they'd do that (and the negative reverberations obviously affected Jeremy and ultimately this place--i.e, us fans). The pie was (and is) certainly big enough to throw some scraps to the independents. I realize that you can't necessarily open the floodgates, but a few different perspectives from indy journalists whether in word or photos is a good thing in my mind.  So, it's great to see different perspectives. I will say this however: it is not without risk, as you know there will be some buster who will be calling the scouts out if the players flop. I think we should all keep in mind that the buck stops with the GM. It's nice to have one, however, that is so convicted in his people and process--and ultimately success, that he's willing to give fans access to this type of information. Pass this on to Tepper.
    • I hope he ends up being our best ever at the position. Ryan Kalil left big shoes behind that we haven't quite been able to fill since.
