Just heard them say on CFGD that Maye turned down $5million to go play with a national champ contender.   Wow.  Said could not to that to Chapel Hill.  Rare guy.

He is getting close to that at UNC this season.

schools are not supposed to be offering NIL money to pay for play but we all know that most of the NIL deals are just laundered bribe money.

Man that's a high character guy! I probably would have taken that money and ran.

Maye is one of the highest compensated players this year in CFB. UNC had to offer him competitive money because that’s just the way it is now and it’s bad for business if they ain’t paying their stars.

Bama and UGA were trying to buy Josh Downs last year. High character guys staying committed. Hopefully Ian Jackson is on this mindset.

haha, i completely forgot UNC probably compensated him there for a minute! I was under the mindset he turned that money down and UNC just gave him his education and some love. Im still trying to get used to this new paying college players stuff!

TCU's D sucks too. They were the #91 ranked scoring D in the league last year, but Max Duggan and company made up for it until they ran into that UGA buzzsaw. Duggan ain't there anymore. I was kinda surprised to see them ranked in the preseason to be honest.

Their offense doesn't look too bad, though.

Granted, the end zone pick was bad

I think it's clear you hate Deion Sanders.

It's like you think he's just a normal coach. One of the most flamboyant players in NFL history and a HOF. Of course he will be on camera a lot!

Yeah, I don't like people who are pieces of poo.

I didn't mind him until he showed his true self when he took the Colorado job. The way he treated those kids is just inexcusable.

    • I don't think there is any real reason to amend the rule. If you do, the teams will just find a way to abuse it. All the Browns have to do is just interview SOMEONE to "get through" the process. Hell, interview Jim Caldwell if that's what the actual goal is, just to get around it.  Also, they have all of the candidates required for the Rooney Rule in Aden Durde and Nate Scheelhaase. They are in full compliance already. Scheelhaase is already scheduled for a second interview, for that matter.
    • I don't know about the stans but he's at times been like 60 percent of the offense on a playoff calibre team. He put up 1202 rushing yards and 10 touchdowns, then had effing 102 receptions for 924 yards and seven receiving touchdowns. He touched the ball 413 times this season (an average of 24 times per game.) Then you have to add in that he's a hell of a blocker when called upon. Without him, the injury depleted 49ers in a hot NFCWest division don't make the playoffs at all.  If that isn't the Most Valuable Player on the team then who should be? The idea that it is an award solely for QBs is just narrow. Edit to add: Will he win it? No.
    • How about we just dump XL in whatever way we can and avoid Keon Coleman? What is the point of taking one of the dumbest and least capable WR's in the NFL and replacing him with a guy that wants to play in the NFL about as much as XL? Maybe shoot higher than Keon Coleman for an XL replacement.
