beat the Giants & Saints (backups) both by +2 TDs

Moore throws for 2 TDs and +250 yds in each game

win a close game against the Giants & crush the Saints (backups)

Moore throws for 1 TD and +200 yds in each game

lose to the Giants but beat the Saints (backups)

Moore throws for 1 TD, 1 INT and +200 yds in each game

lose to the Giants and lose to the Saints (backups)

Moore throws for 2 INTs and +150 yds in each game

no way i would agree to keep Fox after this season

Moore could be the next coming of Montana or Quincy Carter it doesn't matter

What's the what's the scenario?

You know, I hate what Fox has done (or failed to do) with the quarterback position, but I still believe Foxball can work in this league.

If the Panthers can win their last two games and have good quarterback play in them, then I might be okay with Fox coming back (this is all predicated on him being through with Delhomme). I think a new offensive coordinator might be nice as well, but it's tough to say who's calling the shots there.

I just keep thinking about those instances where a coach is on the hot seat only to field a very competitive team in the next year or so, i.e. Coughlin.

he cuts jake.

charlie weis gets brought in.

fox lets weis choose the QB that best fits his scheme.

fox sits back and lets weis and meeks do their job.

fox fires crossman and williamson.

fox isn't given an extension unless he gets this team a ring next year.

I would talk to the players and see what they think of Fox. The offense has had it's woes but Fox has had this defense ready to play almost every game this season. I think he needs philosophical change in his game plan, we don't always have to run to set up the pass. Get us a number 2 WR, give Moore the reigns and bring in a guy to push him and we can talk business.

I agree that if he stays there needs to be a paradigm shift in philosophy. The terrible game/clock management, lack of in-game adjustments, loyalty to vets at the expense of success and play-not-to-lose mindset make me want the guy gone.

If that can happen, I may change my mind. But this old dog isn't going to learn new tricks.

    • Trade up for a project was dumb, he's gonna be 25 next month. By the time you're deciding on whether he's worth the 5th year option or a big contract you're already gonna be thinking about moving on soon either way.
    • I mean this is legit AF statement....you don't spend that draft capital on a project just like you don't trade up for an injured RB either, which was done in the same draft.  That draft IMO was a necessary evil for DM to learn from his mistakes (I think he did but some may not). Also I have to mention I'm a big Coker fan and think getting him as an UDFA was obv a steal.  Coker is the better WR2 at this point as Legette and its not even debatable unfortunately.  Give him year 3 but don't expect much from him.  Continue in the offseason with adding as much talent and competition on the roster as possible including WR.  Or just trade his ass for peanuts and continue to build roster by any means.......
    • Losing him was a huge loss. Look at how the Bears went from a 5 win team to now a 11 win team. The Lions offensive line is bad this year, secondary is bad and Campbell going for it on 4th down all the time has cost them games instead of taking the Field Goals. Goff is inconsistent as well.
