All you have to do is find a way for the defense to play prevent the whole game and he’ll be just fine LOL

It was pretty wild how people saw that final drive as being so promising when all we did was throw check downs because the Saints were playing soft zone coverage to avoid giving up a quick score. I thought it was pretty chicken poo of them given how dominant their D had been but they were literally inviting the check down to be thrown.

I hear ya. I'm just trying to think about possibly salvaging the trade package we gave up.

At the end of the day as a fan I am just not sure we will ever see consistent success under this ownership. Hell we can't even get one winning season. But that's where the buck stops. It's been one trainwreck to the next.

Yeah, this era isn’t starting off well for coach, GM or QB. It’s hard to be a fan when this is what you get from a QB and staff that should have been able to step right in. Young was making OL calls and was processing way more than we could fee him. Reich has already been a head coach and has a supposed great staff. Why are we being told that we should have lowered expectations?

I wonder where that Gerry guy is. He might need some help after the first two games.

I just want to find another Cam, a QB who can win games and has a ceiling to win it all and it would be nice if we do when we also have a quality coach and GM. Other teams get it, so why can’t we? We only got Cam and he almost got it done anyway.

I was nervous after seeing his arm talent last game, I really didnt think it was that bad until week 1 and now after last night I am not sure how they are going to make this work.

Screens, drags, and wide ass open. That's about the only throws I'm seeing that Bryce is going to be able to make consistently at this level. Yeah, it's seriously concerning. Better find some Tyreek Hills and Justin Jeffersons.

This. Like the fug, it was garbage time run out the clock play and we didn’t execute that properly. We should have had at least 40 seconds more on the clock.

Reich looks to be the offensive equivalent of Ron Rivera.

We won't see Gerry Green (formerly known as iamhubby1) until we get a win and he'll act like he's been here all along and not on a milk carton when it happens 😂

I've let the Cam thing go. He was once in a generation. The Colts tried to draft a QB and use him the same way it didn't even last two games. We won't see another Cam for a very long time. It's best to turn the page and not live in the past.

Nah man, even elite talent can be shut down.

I would much much rather us build a whole team of good players, than a team of 2-3 great players and garbage around them.

I like Ellis but we don't need more mindless drones parroting the Panthers front office and the Tepper's.

IMO he made his bones and followers being critical, fair but critical about the panthers, players and staff.  He would have some good rants on his podcast and twitter feed but go back and see when he announced his credentialing and you see a different tone.  I get it but its not a good look.

Saying bryce played at a high level last night is exhibit a and preaching patience feels a lot like boot licking to me

Let's just face reality and realize that outside of 2 seasons where we had a lot of talent and lived up to it (until the last game), this has always been a mediocre at best franchise. Most teams in the NFL really aren't very good. We had a window for about 5 years and we squandered it. We'll be lucky to find ourselves in a similar situation over the next decade.

We could be Chargers fans. Loaded with talent and a great QB, but somehow incapable of winning.

Brother if we traded all that we did and what could very well end up being a top 5 pick next year for a game manager or system QB... ohh wee mayne.

I’m just saying that for lack of a better term. It’s only a bad thing if he ends up more like Bridgewater than Brees.

I think Young has the right mental make up to become a starter in this league. But the physical limitations that were often talked about pre-draft but shouted down by people who latched onto him by leading with their emotion are going to be very challenging to overcome. I know we've disagreed on different things over the course of Panthers fandom. But I hope you can agree there's a legitimate level of concern there. I mean we really took our #1 pick off the field multiple times in favor of Andy Dalton to move the sticks in short yardage. If we weren't Panthers fans we would be laughing our asses off.

I'm just saying we're going to have to find receivers that can get wide ass open to make this work.

Everything seems broken right now. We can't throw so we want to run heavier formations to run the ball better but then when we try to pass out of those formations there's too much traffic in front of Bryce for him to see the field.

Not a Cam exactly. Herbert or Lawrence or Burrow or Mahomes or Allen or Hurts would be fine as well. I just meant a QB with enough upside that they could play well enough to win it all. I don’t look at Young and say yep, he looks the part of a potential elite QB.

I'm hoping its something like his timing is off and they're asking BY to do too much so he isn't in sync with the offense... because... eesh.  His arm did not look good last night.

    • This draft is 2023 all over again, it's not hard to see. QB's who don't grade out as high first round prospects while at the same time, the following draft class looks to be loaded with elite QB prospects. Drafting a QB just because you need one (or making a bad trade to make said draft pick), when there isn't one worthy of that draft pick, is how you ruin franchises, just look at us right now.
    • I upgraded to the S24+ a few weeks back. Very happy with it.
    • LOL... Yet again proving you can't look below anything than what you see on the surface Mock drafts ARE NOT draft grades They are what people think will happen.  They are mocking teams taking QB's in the top 5 of the draft because that's just historically how drafts go regardless of the grades on the QBs.  Almost every draft expert, even those mocking QB's going high, have said time and time again that none of these QB's actually grade out as those type of picks. This is again, where I say you don't like to actually read what I have to say, because I already explained it. 2022 the exact same thing happened, mock drafts had guys like Pickett and Willis going in the Top 5 because that's just what teams usually do, but GM's listened to their prospect grades and knew they weren't worth taking that high, so they didn't. It's not to say QB's won't go that high this year, but it's to say that they aren't graded out as elite QB prospects.   And yes, I've never said I'm not a T-Mac homer. But me being that doesn't change that he will be the highest graded offensive player in this year's draft, at a position we haven't been able to solve since we lost Smitty.  Taking him makes all the sense in the world, my bias aside.
