Opposing teams Panthers will play in 2010

Here's a look at the Panthers' 2010 opponents. They'll play teams from the NFC West and AFC North, as well as teams who finish in their corresponding spots in the standings from the NFC East and NFC North.p/The Panthers could finish second in the NFC South with a victory Sunday against New Orleans and an Atlanta loss at Tampa Bay. Carolina and Atlanta (who split their games against each other) would both be 8-8, but the Panthers would have better divisional and conference records than the Falcons.

meh, we have a one in four chance of playing them in every year that we aren't playing the NFCW. not a big deal.

pretty winnable game there but i expect we could end up sweeping the NFCW. not sure why we wouldn't be able to. cards, 49ers, seahawks, rams....it should be fun.

Are the NFC West games going to be home games or away games? I'm hoping the Panthers come to candlestick I'll be near by.

We will play two home and two away - when we played the NFCW in 2007, we played SF and Seattle at home and the Cards and Rams on the road. If they flip that for 2010 (I think they do), you'll get your wish.

It would be very nice if the Bears come here next season. A close friend of mine, who just left visiting us this week, would probably come down for this game. Me and him bought PSL's together in 2003. I bought him out when he moved in 2005. He grew up in Chicage, is a big bears fan but became a Panthers fan when he lived here. I dont like bringing other teams fan's to a game but I will make an exception for this one - being that I wouldnt have my PSL's if he didnt go in with me when he lived here.

Assuming Atlanta can get past Tampa Bay [??], the Panthers will play Bears and Giants next year. FYI, we played the Bears at BOA in 2008 when we had NFC North in our rotation - and played Giants there. Then played Giants away again this year to make 2 in a row away. Not sure how it will turn out.

Either way - you got PSLs so bring who you want.

I remember the Bears here in '08, my friend couldnt make it down that year. We were talking this week about him trying this time around. Now, as far as bringing who I want  I know that --- I just find it annoying when they are cheering for the other team :D

    • They can get film of all the games? Every team? Wow! Who knew… Our games with them are big examples of why they are in  the CB market so hard.   It is the study they do getting ready for the games.  Preparing to play against is a little different than just analyzing film in scout mode. Deeper dive. Then you are analyzing post game too.  This goes to why players often change teams but stay in the division. The opponents know each other on a higher level.  Plus if you lost to us, you used to get fired. Now you have to trade your first round pick. Moving up on the world.
    • I honestly can’t believe this team’s turnaround this season. It’s surreal. Figured healthy we’d be fringe playoffs and with another lottery pick could finally turn the corner, but we don’t even need that. This group is ready. We haven’t played remotely well the last 5 games and yet still blew out 5 bad teams by 16+ each game like it was casual practice. We had a few solid teams with Kemba and Big Al but this is easily our best group since the original Hornets moved to NO. Man, what a shift in culture this new ownership group and front office has brought. So damn happy to see it after years of suffering and consistently meaningless games in this stretch of previous seasons.   Only 2.5 games out of the 6 seed, although Miami, Atlanta and Orlando have been playing well too. Gonna be a fun final stretch, hopefully we can get a top 8 seed at the very least. Celtics tomorrow will be a good test. Would be huge to keep the road winning streak up against a very hot top team on the 2nd half of a back to back. We’ve played Boston pretty well the last few years with much of this same group despite sucking so I do feel pretty good about it. Kon is due for a huge game coming off a few cold shooting games (although despite the poor shooting he’s been contributing well with defense, assists and rebounds).
    • It amazes me how underrated Horn has become after he finally was able to stay on the field. Sure last year wasn’t perfect but he was still a huge reason for our rebound defensively and I’d say he’s easily a top 10 corner. You don’t want to see Mike Jackson as our top corner. Any player is available for the right price but I’d be extremely hesitant to move Horn even for a big haul from LA.
