I think his post was civil....it was just wrong.  We made it to the ECF without our best player last year.

Unless we deal him I think you are right. From what I read he is over the want to be traded… for now. We also need to see him take a big step in his game though.

I’m assuming if we ST IR Svech, FUS and Suzuki will make the roster and we will let Pono’s injury play out. Which unless svech shows up without a NC jersey tomorrow I don’t see why we don’t IR him and assess after the west coast marathon.

I like that move for Kochetkov, better to get him games than sit behind Andersen and Raanta.

I agree with putting Svechnikov on short term IR and playing FUS until he’s reached the max number of games before he burns a year on his ELC.

I’d go:

Bunting - Aho - Jarvis

Teravainen - Kotkaniemi - Necas

Martinook - Staal - Fast

Unger-Sorum - Drury - Noesen

Lemieux - Suzuki

Slavin - Burns

Skjei - Pesce

Orlov - DeAngelo

Chatfield

Andersen

Raanta


IR - Svechnikov, Ponomarev

Syracuse (AHL) - Kochetkov

Norfolk (ECHL) - Fensore

Wherever - Jones, Coghlan

 

Let FUS get nine games then send him to Sweden and put in Svechnikov.

The real dilemma comes when Ponomarev is healthy. Do they keep Lemiuex or get rid of him and bring up Pono.

I think we keep Lemieux and he probably won’t clear waivers. Bring him in for grit games or if somebody gets banged up. 
 

Agreed on FUS and if he takes off and we don’t have to give him back to Sweden… I’d keep him up. I really think we are looking at our next svech style youngster. 

We need to get Suzuki and Pono stats these season somehow though. If we aren’t going to bring them up soon we need to use them as capital.

Holy god. 8.5 AAV for them? I know I’m in a rare camp here but they aren’t even worth 8.5 together in my opinion. Scheifele is a 50 point player, his lines give up on average a -17 in the past two years. hellebuyck is good but over hyped. You are going to pay a 32 year old goal tender 8.5 a year for 7 years? Wow.

      We have taken two TEs in three seasons I think, and Sanders may not pan out or it may have been a sophomore slump, but we took a guy last year that was coming on.  I am not in favor of TE in round one and really don’t consider it a high priority in any round.

Not exactly handing the man scraps. The point of the draft is to make the team better. You want to make this about Bryce. It isn't. It's about improving the team. And if anyone can look at our offense and go "we're good", they are lying to themselves. You give quarterbacks weapons. We SCREAMED for YEARS to give Cam some help. But now because we are trying to do it for Bryce, you all are saying we are coddling him because of his "deficiencies". It's a double-standard because you don't like the guy, clearly. But even if he does fail, guess what? The next guy has help too. Win-win.

      we have 2 solid/above average (however you want to phrase that) wr's, which is more than half the league at least.  We dont need to be blowing more first round capital just to placate Bryce and his limitations.   We have one absolute stud (probably top 10 wr) in tmac and we have a high floor guy with insane potential if he can stay healthy.  Yeah man we are in better shape than the bulk of the teams in the league.  If you need to add some speed or whatever, sure draft in the mid rounds or wait until tc cuts.  Its monumentally stupid to spend 3 straight firsts on a wr if thats the route they go.  ITs just more and more excuses for Bryce, thats where we are at now.    "How can bryce succeed without a big possession type wr (drafts 2 for him), how is bryce supposed to exceed without a speed guy......."   Its fuging never ending.  Give EE some goddamn help on defense for once
