I know how panther fans felt last year

Ignorance at its finest.

As for any posts dedicated to Rodgers "choking"....do any of you for one second think that modern day Favre would have been able to lead his team back from a deficit the way Rodgers did with that offensive line and crumbling defense around him? Rodgers had to play at near perfection to even have a chance to get his team back in the game with all the TDs that the Cardinals were scoring. If that was Favre out there, we probably see him force throws into coverage for a couple of INTs and then after the game he shrugs his shoulders, plays the "aw shucks, I was just throwing the pigskin around" routine and no one blames him for a blowout loss (they blame the team around him).

Yep. Favre is still in the playoffs because he's surrounded by a better team than Aaron Rodgers, not because he's played better than Aaron Rodgers.

I don't think the Packers front office ever told Favre to quit. Needing a decision and a committment for next year is quite different than telling someone they no longer have a job.

If anything, I think Rodger's great play this season has shown that the Packers front office did the right thing by letting Favre go. You've seen the way Rodgers is playing -- you think a franchise quarterback like that should just sit on the bench all season? Favre could have done no better with that offensive line. Remember the Panthers and Vikings game this year?

dude, you guys almost pulled it off. we lost it after our first drive.

your defense did much better than i ever thought it would in transitioning to a 3-4. it should be a good bit better next year.

you have a stud QB and good receivers. the running game is suspect (not a fan of ryan grant). next year should be a better year. you are in much better shape than the bears and you know that farve is going to do something screwy in the offseason. with him out of the picture you guys are gold. i'm a believer that this year is a fluke with him and you won't see another year like this from him ever again.

only way i hope the packers are one and done is if they face the panthers first.

Yeah, even after his "retirement" they were going to fly representatives out to Mississippi a few weeks later, before the draft to make sure he didn't make a rash decision. He then called them before the meeting to cancel it and said that he was going to stay retired and not to worry about it, so the Packers take him for his word (which apparently equates to telling him he needs to retire) and proceed to draft two more quarterbacks. Then somewhere around June or July Favre "got the itch" to come back....and he wanted to be guaranteed the starting job at that (no open competition at camp). Screw that ungrateful front office!!!!

ignore AK, he's kind of an ass... as for the packers, they put up a hell of a fight (ultimately it was their lack of a defense that did them in) but i think as a carolina fan last year i'd rather have lost in a spectacular shootout than lost the way we did, with our quarterback doing his best to imitate a pile of dog doo.

you guys will bounce back. rodgers is the heart and soul of that offense, and as long as he's around you'll be good to go. good luck to you guys next season

Gooooooooo Cardinals!!!! WOOT

I think its the football Gods paying you back for the asinine treatment of Favre...

McCarthy and Thompson are getting what they deserved... Favre is a DIVA- but no one tells you you haver to quit your job when you are at the top because your thinking about retiring....

Rodgers will be good for years to come, but IRONICALLY enough FAVRE is STILL in the playoffs...

Suck it McCarthy .................

How much will you hurt when the QB you kicked out of town wins the Super Bowl...

AHHHHHHHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

It's a huge heartbreaker though. If only Rodgers hit jennings when he was wide open. That game still hurts. I feel like were choke artists all the time.

No way man. To come back like that and force OT, get the ball back and have a no-call on an obvious face-mask which caused the game winning play is not Rodgers or the team's fault. You've got a great shot to be back in the hunt next year (if we don't have a lockout).

If Favre was still in Green Bay, then either that blatant helmet to helmet hit on the QB or the equally blatant facemask on the Rodger's fumble would have been flagged and the Packers could well be playing again this weekend.

Otherwise, GB is so much better off without Favre. Favre hasn't shown that he can play in the cold weather in recent years, that is a recipe for disaster in GB.

That was a tough loss. It might be years before we win a playoff game. I think if the Panthers got in right now they would be the most dangerous team in it. Now I know how you felt last year when the Cardinals beat you guys like they beat us.

I like you PF. But maybe we can play each other next year in the playoffs and do to the Packers what the Cards did to us last year, Then we can have our kumbaya moment.
