Having a meeting is pretty vague. So many assumptions are being made on what is happening in these meetings.

I have zero issues with Tepper being in the loop.

I'm thrilled we have an owner who hates losing as much as he does. Seems like he hates it more than many fans say they do.  So I see a damned if he does anything, and damned if he doesn't mentality with most of our fan base.

Is it the same folks saying Tepper meddles too much that want him to fire Reich?  Are they two camps?  It wouldn't surprise me if it is the same people.

If you don't think his meddling is affecting the trajectory of this franchise then I'm not sure what to tell you.   The proof is in the pudding as they say.  Weve literally been the worst franchise since he took over.  And 0-5 is way past the point of simple growing pains

You sure are ignoring whatever doesn't support your opinion.

Tom Dundon runs the Hurricanes this way and is hugely successful. The biggest reason why they are and we arent is that Dundon listens to his advisors and its looking like Tepper is not.

Not really… Dundon opens his wallet and lets Waddell and Rod do their jobs

Tepper very clearly has no issue opening his wallet. Our current staff is very overpaid, something the team media let us all know.

Tepper needs to listen to the experts and hes not.

I agree, my point is that Dundon, unlike Tepper, just pays the bills and lets the professionals do their jobs. Tepper doesn’t, he’s willing to open the wallet but then involves himself in every decision, undermining the people he hires. That’s the difference

all that is cool and all but just remember that is not the normal OP for a nfl owner, but if you are fine with it then you are fine with it.

1 out of every 32 teams is the worst in the league. Of course it’s not normal to meet up that much but how many other others were convinced by their HC and GM that playoffs were achievable and that their best two offensive players were expendable, their not extended edge rusher was worth as much as the first pick in the draft and that we should trade up now.

It’s funny that people use Tepper’s point guard pressed as though he forced the Young pick and that he thought Moore was expendable. I see it as him restating what his chosen HC and GM told him. Tepper is not coming up with that on his own and it’s obvious now that he’s very upset because he was sold a bill of goods and we ended up the worst team in the league.

I still blame him for not letting Hurney go with Ron, same with Fitterer. I just find it funny that some of the heaviest posters are loving this blame Tepper stuff because their lauded HC and GM again look like their decisions weren’t their fault. Amazing.

Really? From Wikipedia:

Dundon wasted little time in overhauling the Hurricanes' front office. On March 8, 2018, the team announced that general manager Ron Francis had been moved to the role of president of hockey operations.[31] However, Sportsnetreporter Elliotte Friedman reported that the "promotion" was likely in name only, noting that there were rumblings Francis and Dundon did not see "eye-to-eye".[32][non-primary source needed]Subsequently, coach Bill Peters resigned from his position on April 20, 2018,[33] to pursue a similar opportunity with the Calgary Flames (he ultimately replaced Glen Gulutzan as the Flames' head coach three days later),[34] and the Hurricanes officially fired Francis from the organization altogether on April 30, 2018,[35]leaving vacancies in both the head coach and general manager positions.

Wasnt Ron Francis a pretty big hockey guy? The Hurricanes made the playoffs in Dundon’s first full year and every year since. It’s easier to be more hands off when you make the playoffs every year. That’s not the Panthers who had a flash of hope to end last year and are now worse than they were with Rhule at the helm.

I'm not saying he made the pick and I'm not saying he didn't make the pick but there are tons of people close to the team and national media and people close to Reich that are all saying the same things or similar things about Tepper and the pick in the draft and his involvement with the team.

Lots of smoke and where there's smoke...there's fire.

Lol. It sure seems like a lot of CYA going on now. Everyone is playing hot potato. People close to Reich are saying it’s not his fault that the team he said would be a playoff team is sucking balls.

Sorry, I’ve watched the games and the play calling is awful and the roster decisions are terrible (Fitterer). I’m not blaming the owner’s wife lol.

    • It's true, but don't forget those metrics and how Bryce statistically was near the bottom of nearly every one of them. He should markedly improve (I mean, how can he not), but how much so is anyone's guess at the moment. Is he too short, noodle-armed and inaccurate to be a professional QB? That's still the question. Has he been "Kerred?" I hope not, but he wasn't particularly accurate from pressured pockets or clean pockets as the author said. We can only wait and hope that the new coaches can help Bryce by putting him in a better situation.
    • If and when Koochie is given the keys he will be a top 5 goalie in this league.  I believe in my heart he is the guy. Home grown Vs free agent pickups like all of our last goalies
