Did the Saints win it, or did the Vikings lose it?

If I was a viking fan, I woulda smashed everythign in the house watching that. Cuz in a way the vikings did give it away. But NO did wht they had to in order to win. After the 3 fumbles and 2 interceptions, it's not like the Saints should have snapped the ball and handed it right back to the Vikings because its "fair". Saints were presented with an opportunity (albeit an extremely lucky one) and did what they had to do and won the game. In just overtime alone, the Vikings could have stopped them on 4th down, could have picked of that Colston bobble, had the defensive holding on 3rd down. I was pulling for the Favre's and ill be cheering on the Manning's this week but NO won that game

The Viking shot themselves in the foot...There was what? 6 turnovers?...and the Saints made it to OT? The Saints are definately not the offensive juggernaut Nawlinns believes they are...They oughta be thankin AP, Berrian & Harvin for handing them the tickets to Miami...

Vikes lost.

YES, Saints fan, you did cause some of those fumbles...but some you did not. If Adrian Fumbleson knew how to hold on to the rock, it'd be a different story. So I'll give you that, you made him fumble, congrats. But they held Brees's numbers way down and if Favre had not handed you the game on a silver platter...it'd be an ugly morning for you today.

You better prepare very weill for the Colts because I'm pretty sure they won't be as sloppy as the Vikings were. You'll have to earn THAT win.

Edit: Just checked the regular season stats. The Colts lead the lead with fewest fumbles. 11. They lost 5.

Are you calling me a Saints fan?

Despite my Cajun-inspired nickname, I'm far from it.

I'm just not as much of a blind, jealous homer as most on this board and can see objectively. How can you credit Minnesota with holding Brees' numbers down, but not give the same credit to a New Orleans squad that did everything they could to win the game? Most of the fumbles weren't caused by Peterson or Berrian just letting the ball slip out of their hands -- they were caused by defenders doing everything in their power to take the ball back.

If that were Chris Harris knocking the ball out of Peterson's hands or Chris Gamble stripping the ball from Berrian, we would all be applauding our defense -- not saying the other team lost the game.

Just give credit where credit is due. New Orleans was the more complete team last night, and in my opinion they're a more complete team than Indy.

Out of curiosity, how did Minnesota's turnover stats look before last night's game?

Why is there no "did the refs give it away" option?

you mean b/c of......

*Thomas was down at the 1 with a ref standing right there - gives him the TD

*Brady Rule not called - play resulted in 1st pick. How many times do refs not call that? Even crap QBs like Jake get that call.

* OT - pass interference. Only way to have called that was offensive pass interference but it should have been a no call.

those are just a few I recall that stood out.

    • I feel the same way. Bryce hasn't proven himself to be so good that he would clearly lap anyone that we'd bring in the compete for the starting job. I think the team is actually afraid to do that. If Bryce goes down does anyone think Kenny Pickett is solid option to replace him?. We can control him for 2026 and 2027. The problem is 2028. Unless he takes a massive leap forward ability wise, I don't see how Carolina can justify paying B.Y. $50 million a year. So far, Bryce has not shown that he can CONSISTENTLY carry a team. He needs to be carried by a strong offensive line, running game, pass catchers and a respectable defense. If he's lacking any of those things I don't think we can make the playoffs in 2026/2027 unless the NFC South is as bad (or worse) than 2025. Unfortunately, athletes and agents have EGOs! When he has a chance for a 2nd contract his management team will probably insist on a "market deal" and feel insulted if they don't get one. That leaves a couple of options if his play hasn't significantly improved. 1) Let him walk and test the market. 2) Franchise him for the 2028 season if you're still not sure about what to do. 3) Extend him to a team friendly deal that pays him below the "current market" which would allow the team to continue to build a solid team to support him. 4) Over pay him and pretty much ruin any chance of becoming a consistent contender. The last option is the LEAST DESIRABLE ONE. The 2026 season is a pivotal season for Bryce and the Carolina Panthers. The success of the next 5-7 years could ultimately be decided on how well plays the next 2 seasons.
    • Thank god BigKat can't buy it because I'd be gone immediately
    • Drake Maye ended up putting almost 300 on them lol. Bryce was stunned from the beginning to end. I know that's an easy comp for the Bryce truthers but no one else put up those puny QB stats against them all season long.
