Matt Moore's weight

I know I know, there has been hundreds of threads on Matt Moore but one thing that concerns me about Matt Moore is his weight.. He only weighs 202 according to the panthers.com profile. Don't you think he is a little light? Do you think that his weight might make him more at a risk of injury?

standing in the pocket forever panicking because one of your two favorite targets isn't open and you don't know what to do is an injury concern.

light=not a whole lot to move around=get away quicker=live to throw another down.

plus he gets rid of the ball quick. that helps.

not concerned about the weight.

Jake is bigger and yet he looses the ball a lot more. Size is overrated sometimes. The boy is fine. He might be small but when those defensive ends get a hold of him he wont loose the ball like jake.

Weight alone doesn't make you resistant to injury, muscle does. And yes I could see him actually engaging in a rigorous off-season weight program this year to gain some muscle and make his more resistant to injury, increase his already good arm strength and increase his mobility lateral movement.

      It goes deeper than that for me. When I started watching the Panthers as a kid I fell in love with Mark Fields’ story during that SB run. He wore #58. Then TD wore it and kept the tradition of the being the soul of the Panthers. The next time someone wears #58 I hope brings that same spirit

      T-Mac is a nickname, Tet is a shortening of Tetairoa. Like you said below... your name is Jonathan, I could see "Jonny" being considered a nickname, but Jon isn't a nickname, it's a shortening of Johnathan, see the difference? And if your mom named you Jonathan for it's biblical significance/meaning, because she was very religious, I think it would be different. T-Mac is Polynesian, so much in their culture has deeper meaning for them, particularly names.  So for his mom to feel this way, I highly doubt it's just because she likes the name Tetairoa and not Tet, it's much more likely than not to be because the name itself has a deeper meaning in their culture.   Particularly as T-Mac himself has often talked about how much his Polynesian heritage means to himself and his family. And no, I'm not saying all this because of how much he's my guy, if he was just "normal american" and his name was Jonathan and he didn't like fans calling him Jon, I'd probably just say tough poo.  It's that he's Polynesian and I know things like names have a much deeper meaning in their culture than they do in ours for the most part. For whatever it's worth, a quick google search.......
