Miles Sanders on the 4th and 2

Anybody who's been around for a decade or more, knows my preference when it comes to running backs. Big, buisers that make a defender pay for being lazy or scared.

Fans have been begging and screaming for an offensive minded coach. We got one. That means they prefer the multifunctional RB's.

So they went and got the guy the coaches wanted.

Pretty easy to understand.

Sure wish our oline was playing better.

Can you imagine if Miles Sanders would have jumped up and tried to catch that pass and ended up costing us the game? Charlotte would burn to the ground 😄

It makes me sick! The ball had broken our way a little bit so something that ridiculous to happen would make the new Browns

Many of the same issues that hold Bryce back also hold back Sanders.

He’s 6 games into his nfl career, dubbed the savior of a franchise, and his wide receivers get no separation making his job to run straight difficult ?

He's been bad, but I also agree with the above poster that it wasn't all his fault. We should be running him outside, which I don't even think we've attempted once this season. We could have a real tandem here if this line gets their poo together. He's still a panther and will root for him each game for his tenure. I feel this place is heavily biased no matter what. His first carry he actually looked good. Then he lost it all on another touch that had no chance. I can't even judge him on such a small sample size. Meanwhile we dick ride Chuba over 15 carries for 28 yards and several stuffed goal line attempts. Can you imagine this place if that was Sanders? The bye has happened and we made a few changes and got our first win. I feel like this is a new beginning for this team and hopefully Miles is healthier and the team has more confidence.

Square peg round hole.

i think it’s been clear that many of Franks concepts don’t mesh well with the modern NfL nor do they play into the strengths of his personnel. Hence we’ve seen him forced from play calling duties after a poor start.

add in injuries and clear that folks are going to struggle.

i expected more from miles, but it’s hard to watch this offense and feel like anyone has been setup for success.

    • agree to disagree you are entitled to that opinion even though I find the argument completely bizarre based on data. I could type out a long paragraph discussing those areas but what’s the point. I posted a screenshot that showed Bryce in a similar post snap situation with a free rusher in his face which resulted in a TD - that’s what happened on the play so I posted it.
    • I've already addressed this notion in a previous reply. You are basing your assertion outside reality if you think Bryce would have not only been more successful but defeated the Patriots in place of Herbert. Bryce got blown off the field by that Patriots team with the highest paid OL in the league. We've seen Bryce with an OL that gave up 65 sacks and it resulted in the #1 pick. And that is not a defense of Herbert or arguing he is a great QB in any way. He has physical talent but he has been similar to Darnold early in his career in terms of his very up and down perfomances. However that does not change the fact that they have significantly less invested in the OL than the Panthers.
    • I think Tepper has been setting the stage where pending there is no miracle he wipes it all clean.  Think you already have been told that with small things like Evero staying.  Bryce is the guy next year.  OC, DC, everything stays the same.  QB room largely the same.  Nothing would really matter there.  They basically get one more shot and it goes how the schedule paired with our 27th ranked O predictably most likely goes.  Everyone out the door together.  Bryce is a bridge tier QB.  I don’t see Dave surviving where he could be bridge QB here in reality.
