It blows my mind how many Heels fans blame the Heels' woes on Maye. It's almost like they don't understand that the QB doesn't play D or block or catch passes. They did this same poo Howell's final season.

Drake Maye accounted for all but 24 of our yards tonight, both his INTs bounced off of receivers, and the D gave up 500+ yarda and 39 points before NCSU packed it in and went conservative.

But Drake Maye ain't poo. 😂

Maybe we get exactly what we deserve.

I'm not a massive fan of Maye, but he's better than Howell, so I assume he'll go on to have a good NFL career.

I've always thought Peyton Wilson was a helluva player and I don't get why he isn't thought of by the NFL. He has great size, great speed, smart player. What's not to like?

Two bum shoulders and two bum knees.  Dude has been sliced and diced on more than a Thanksgiving Turkey.  I love the kid, but his injury history is going to scare off a lot of teams.

Yeah, I've heard injuries were a huge concern but hell, I'd take a shot at him in the mid-late rounds somewhere. The kid can play.

    • How many elite QBs do we have right now in the league? And how elite are they, really? Mahomes - I seriously doubt anyone would say otherwise. My only counterpoint is that since Tyreek left, he has not been as explosive. Only one with a ring. Allen - Yes. His first year was rough, however, and even now, he's a turnover machine which has cost his team games. Wouldn't surprise me if he regresses as talent around him goes elsewhere. Burrow - Can say he got to a Super Bowl but injuries may be a concern. All those sacks he took may be coming back to bite the Bengals. Jackson/Prescott - Can't win in the playoffs even with rosters around them, so no. So there you go. At least in my eyes, there's only maybe 3 right now. And over the past 10 years, QBs not Mahomes/Brady that have won were (noodle arm) Manning, Nick Foles and Matthew Stafford. Even Stafford I'd argue was a one-shot because the Rams absolutely went all-in with talent.
    • Without Guentzel, the team has a better chance of being able to keep Jarvy long term, Noesen for another 2-3 years, Drury and Turbo maybe. And I'm saying that because I think Jarvis will make us forget about Guentzel.
