Stroud does have all day to throw quite often, but that is because they respect his arm and drop 7-8 into coverage.

Bryce, you can just tee off and send 8 every time until it stops working. That is why he just needs to immediately take off upfield and run. Holding for a sack or throwaway is pointless. They only way the swarm will stop is if he gets those 10 yard scampers.

Put a vet in and he looks better than a rookie?? Isn’t that suppose to be the case??

Not when they are the #1 pick in the draft. You expect that guy to be better than cast off vets otherwise wtf is the reason for trading up. We just fuged the pick up. Dalton no doubt is better than Bryce and if he started all season I seriously think we’d be leading the shitty South.

Exactly.. But at this point they are calling holding calls when he does that..

Ppl just need to admit that Houston built a better team then us.. Their young WR developed ours didn’t.. They have a better Oline,.. Demco is a better coach and his defense is not injured..

And they picked a franchise QB and not a backup QB

Didn't mention Dalton looking better than Bryce, everyone else will.  Are you saying the QB play is why everyone else sucks?

Dalton is a former pro bowl vet with 10+ years experience.. Of course he is going to look better and know what to do in this situation.. BY is a rookie starting his 12 game of his career.. He has no experience playing behind this terrible Oline or with this lack of surrounding cast..

Dalton is a mediocre at best backup at this stage in his career. Your #1 overall pick should be at minimum a push by comparison.

A lot of you got fooled by Cam being as good as he was.. Reality is most rookie struggle in good situations.. Put any rookie behind this Oline with these weapons.. You’re not seeing much better..

even Meh with 10+ experience is better then a rookie who has been blasted all season..

    • I watched a clip of all the offensive snaps. Young threw into some tight coverage and the guys made some plays on the ball. He also really missed some throws.  He has this middle of the field thing into a tight window pretty good and made three or four nice plays but he was just too inconsistent with his accuracy especially in the red zone. Today and in general.    That Int where people were chastising Legette for ‘not fighting through the coverage’, he in no way could have gotten to that ball. IMO. I think he thought it was going to hit the ground and didn’t see the defender coming for it. But not sure what he could have done. The camera doesn’t show the spatial relationship very well, I think the ball was way off. maybe 6 feet or more off target to the inside of the field.  Rico is a beast. And a very good receiver.   That was my impression without dissecting and rewinding, just letting the video roll. I did rewind the int two or three times to look at that one.
    • My biggest issue with keeping Darnold, which I felt we should have done, is we would still have Fitterer. And everything that came with that.  I think Morgan is going to be good.  Baker, just did not play well at all here. Not sure what else we were supposed to take away from it at the time.  That’s my short ‘I don’t want to argue about it’ take.
    • Even if we somehow make the playoffs we will be one and done so fast. Seattle, Rams, TB, Panthers, Detroit and Philly are all better than us.
