Serious question: what HC candidate in their right mind would want to come here?

and to be clear, not defending Reich or saying he shouldn't have been fired. it just looks absolutely horrible for us. and it'll look way worse when Reich comes out and says that Bryce was Tepper's pick

If I'm Frank, and that is the case I would most definitely call out every bit of hypocrisy that came out from this.

Only part about that though, is that he probably doesn't want to say anything that would make Bryce seem worse than his film has looked.. none of this is really his fault IMO. He has some blame for his lack of improvement, but coaches and those that surround him haven't offered him many bail outs.

The list will be long, the job is that much of a rarity.

And, honestly, with Bryce we could end up with a situation like the Jaguars did... new coach, new plan, better ability, and you start to build a guy worth the pick.

And I'm betting that as soon as the offseason hits, we will get Burn's contract nailed down for a mint and then promptly trade him to a team for a mid-round first round draft pick.

That's the hope but the Jags got somewhat lucky that Pederson was available at the time and interested. What SB winning HC can we get to save us?

Give me a break. Tepper is one of the richest on planet earth. His wallet can lure most anyone and it will still just be pocket change for him. Money makes a huge difference in swaying someone here and we will have great options if we pursue the great options rather than settle on a coach like Reich or some fast talking car salesman idiot like Rhule. Tepper needs to let an actual knowledgeable person select the next coach and keep him and his meddling wife the hell out of it.

We had our pick of one with McCarthy, but we choose Rhule.

We could have had Sean Payton last year, but we choose Frank.

Id say Denver and Dallas are pretty pleased with what they’ve gotten out of both of those guys.

Sean McDermott when he’s fired 😎

it's an idea but I'd be shocked if he was fired. Allen is more of an issue there than McD and even if they miss the playoffs, that's an awfully short leash for a coach who's had a ton of success for a team who before him hadn't made the playoffs in like 2 decades...

The tweet saying that people in the building hadn't been told yet means that yes, the media had it before people who it directly affected were informed.

That's incredibly unprofessional.

The toxic environment that exists around this team is not the fault of anybody except David Tepper. Frankly, it exists in pretty much every enterprise he owns.

He's the problem. But what makes it worse is he thinks he's the hero.

It ain't that simple.

Disagree with Field Yates. Tepper can do wonders by meeting and discussing job security with potential candidates. Tepper has to SELL the organization as much as the candidates have to sell him. He could better sell the organization by admitting he is a meddling owner as well as his wife and that they both plan to take a step back and let actual football knowledgeable people run the show. This may give many great candidates some actual comfort and reassurance. It's all about him selling the organization to actual potentially GOOD coaches. When you have fired Rhule and Reich in the way you did it's now your responsibility to market and sell your team to those who are trying to sell themselves in an interview as well. Tepper is a financial genius, I'm sure he already knows this but the question is will his ego allow it to admit his faults to himself and to figure candidates

    • Varying degrees all around but it starts at the top. That is where the buck stops. It has been 8 years of stupid, long before Morgan came back. Or Tillis was hired. Made it to the top of stupid mountain in 2023. Stayed in stupid limbo for a while, now we are prepping to scale the next mountain. In this case, I like those guys’ roster building better than what we have had so I am okay with them as our current pawns in the game of Bryce.
    • Don't let me gas him up too much, but I hear this and that...... I seen a wide body man with a quick burst, that's able to shed blocks and if extends his long arms its over. He tore up the OL in the senior, you seen about 10 plays and the dog walking OLman. There's other plays of him doing the same, just have to deal with fetus talking over the plays. Plus there's this-  https://x.com/PFF_College/status/2018385471068332410?lang=en     I hope he's ready, cause Id like to see him starting and doing his thang with dbrown, nic, and Phillips.
    • I mean there is relevance to that. But I think much of it has to do with the fact that he is clearly likeable. But does that translate to a coach taking his position to the next level like those that have had staying power for many years like Spoelstra? And not for nothing but does how much someone is liked even matter? Across leagues with the Panthers Ron Rivera and Marty Hurney were universally well liked by players. Dave Canales is very well liked. I say you are what your record says. And the record says you got your ass handed to you by a fellow expansion team in the Magic in a game that was over at halftime and that same team went toe to toe with our nemesis who has been handing us L's for over a year now. And if Bam doesn't get his leg swept by LaMelo do we even get past the Heat? Again. It just all boils down to personal standards. I think newer and younger fans will love this. I just want to actually win a real playoff game fam 🤷‍♂️
