I could see Tepper moving the team.

The reality is if Tepper becomes a liability with this team to where it hurts the NFL in general as a singular revenue sharing entity in the media then like with Snyder the other NFL owners can be rallied by the NFL to force him out of ownership.

There will come a time that if Tepper continues his dumpster fire of this franchise that its issues will metastasize around the league and then the billionaire club of owners won't take to kindly to such a rouge pathway that Tepper is creating.

After all there are few areas billionaires can park this kind of revenue and have such attractive returns on their investment.

I see that as the likely development over this team moving anywhere else with Tepper still in control.

ONLY because SC is included in those calculations

They don’t include the entire state of SC when determining the tv market size of the city of Charlotte.

I think it’s a mixture of things, but let’s just look at population in a 75 mile radius of certain cities as a proxy for market size.

The league won't let him move it, they're more likely to force him to sell due to poisoning his relationship with the community.

Yep, and what other community would want him? They’re definitely not going to let him run their flagship European team.

You have to include South Carolina. BOA is like 5 minutes from the border.  Columbia is the closest semi big town to Charlotte.  People in SC like the Panthers too you know.

It does include some parts of SC for sure. Just not the entire state.

This is tv market size we’re talking about.

The Charlotte MSA (90 mile radius of Charlotte) has more people than Atlanta within the same MSA statistical analysis. The dynamics of the market place in the Charlotte MSA exceed other MSAs in the US with larger city populations. From a marketing standpoint the NFL heavily weighs the MSA as a population study to the market potential of a given franchise.

So it’s 80 miles between those cities.

Pretty much the same pop as 75 miles around Charlotte.

Here's the same metric of the 75mi radius of Austin.

Granted this area is closer to two other NFL franchises than the Charlotte area. However the Dallas 75mi radius has 8.5m people and the Houston 75mi radius has 7.6m people and none of these areas overlap with each other. Texas just has a lot of people and could easily support 3 NFL franchises. Florida does it with less people.

Y'all are crazy if you think central Texas won't get another NFL team. It's the biggest US media market (aside from dubious San Diego) without one. It's not going to happen tomorrow, but it's going to happen.

Looool whaaaaat? Arguably the NFL's smallest market. Hes been a ploy inserted all along. They knew how he was. London, germany, st louis, orlando, you tell me

Not sure why people think this.  Charlotte is the 22nd largest designated media market in the US, the 15th largest City in the US, and one of the fastest growing metropolitan areas in the US.
