2024 Mock Drafts

I try to limit to one trade per draft since the trade back options on PFN mocks can get unrealistic quick.

Worthy- this offense desperately needs a deep threat and someone who can make something out of nothing. Worthy can do both.

COMP: Devonta Smith

Braelon Allen- we have a need for a short yardage/goal line back.

COMP: James Conner (less tenacious)

James Williams- a dawg Morgan is looking for. This guy will deliver big hits as a rookie. Shaq replacement?
COMP: Kam Chancellor (game has changed where Kam types are playing LB now)

Beaux Limmer- know little about him. Took best graded OL available.

Joe Milton- Similar to Braelon Allen, this is an attempt to beef up our short yardage game. We will need to grind out games relying on our defense until we acquire the weapons needed at skill positions. Milton would be trained to execute the Philly QB sneak and build a goal line/short yardage package for him. Never know what he might become down the road.

Quinton Newsome- know little about him. Took best graded CB available.

ladd and xavier in back to back picks would be a home fuging run. It's like the only realistic scenario I'm happy with WR at both 33 and 65

there's a few more i'd be good with myself, but what im hoping we do is get two good complimentary WRs. Adding in a big TE, two RBs with some power and fight and then another utility guy that can be a return specialist...i know we've got a lot of needs all over the place, but i just don't know when we'll see such a good group of playmakers again. i'll be disappointed if we don't come away with at least 3 offensive playmakers.

some combo of back to back WRs to start like Mitchell and then Leggette would be my ideal draft.  I then would go BPA of offensive positions after that.  TE, RB, OL.

I want all offense.  That IMO should be the priority.  Infusing this team with offensive talent.

Part of me would feel guilty for not getting Evero anyone for the D, but we are in desperate need of help in offense.

    • I'm not to sure it's a solid argument to try to estimate what he will do this season, BUT he's had a solid 3 years in the league. Here's his numbers compared to Jewell's for the same time period. I can see the logic of getting a starting MLB for a (at best) WR4. AT, XL and Tmac are certainly our top 3 guys IN 2025. Certainly worth pondering.
    • Training camp just started and it's already starting... https://www.facebook.com/reel/24277303321904901/?mibextid=rS40aB7S9Ucbxw6v LOL No one believes you and you have fan pages sharing this with a "Play him or trade him" headline. Oh wee mayne. This is why no front offices wanted any part of this.
    • Honestly, it only makes sense if you're trying to chase being the best bad team you can be this year. The number one question we need answered this season is whether or not Bryce is our long-term franchise QB. Trading away a second year WR who was second on the team in catch percentage, first in yards per target, and who clearly outplayed your 1st round pick for a likely one year rental fill in LB is exactly the type of short sighted desperation moves that has made us the worst franchise in the league under Tepper. We gotta stop making these types of moves and just focus on building a good organization and a good roster. Lloyd is a JAG LB another bad team and awful defense is wavering on and a couple of Panthers fans are salivating over him. Oof. We just need to be patient and wait. Definitely make some calls around the league to teams deep at LB and see if there's an opportunity to add one for a late round pick. Definitely shop the waiver wire hard. The reality is that LB is almost certainly going to be a weakness for us this year. We weren't fixing our entire roster in one off-season and we're not fixing an overall weak positional group in late July.  If you trade for Lloyd LB is still a weakness and you've given up a young promising WR who could potentially help you answer the question of whether or not Bryce is that guy. That's bad football business.
