CFB conference championship games

Rankings are what I expected but I’m glad they’ll actually be playing games to determine this from now on.

those four teams deserve to be there, frankly Georgia probably does too but the argument of not having a conference championship was rightfully too much to overcome

Let’s say what it really is. Resumes don’t mean poo. Apparently they want the hottest teams that will bring the most eyeballs. Old men in suits with money determine who plays Vs the actual players and coaches.

yes Florida state was prob gonna get dog walked but they should have still been there.

this is consistent with the committee’s approach for the duration of the four team playoff, if they had pulled a heel turn and made it strictly record based then there would’ve been some rightful criticism (especially given Alabama’s superior resume’)

its a crummy system that’s rightfully over but at least they were consistent

For sure!  If DII  and FCS can do a three to 4 week tourney, why the fug can’t the best athletes?   Go to 16 teams and we could have “December madness”

This. The senior selection guy is on right now and he literally said they bumped FSU because of where FSU is right now as a team. Meaning, ratings. They don't want a lousy semi final game. I get that. But there's the reason. He just said it.

    • That's mostly me. I came into the season basically believing he was not ever going to be the guy but with a little bit of wait and see. It didn't take long of me seeing before I saw he was the same guy he has largely always been. Maybe in some future scenario 3-5 years from now he is confident enough to be a decent NFL QB. I don't really want to be the team waiting for that to happen. Let his 3rd, 4th, 5th or whatever team be the ones that figure it out.
    • Naw let him get to Tampa and crack his old fragile body with Radsom or Trey M I’d love to see him get rocked by this raw defense. He’s a fool thinking he would leave us for greener pastures I’m glad it played out this way should’ve stayed loyal to the ones who really wanted you.
    • And a legitimate question to ask is what does this offense look like once Bryce is off his rookie contract? How is that offensive line going to look? We have a ton of money invested up front and that is 100% unsustainable with Bryce making starting QB money. Icky and Moton are going to be 50m per season plus the guards at 32 and possibly Mays at 6-8 if we're lucky. Add in Bryce and that's 125m just on those 6 players if we tried to keep them all. It's just not doable.  So then the real question IMO becomes, if we spent the money on our OL, and less on a QB, would the outcome be that much different? I haven't seen Bryce elevate the offense enough by himself on a consistent basis to warrant the contract we would have to give him, not to mention the players we would have to give up, based on the accelerations of the bonuses as I understand them, would likely include Icky.
