Onsides rule need to be changed!!!

Shawn has to have balls to make that call.

The only problem I have is there was a clear shot of a colt lying on the ground

with possession of the ball with a saint's leg touching him but after 20 guys jumped on him the saints come up with it.

It happens all the time.

There was even a saint in plain clothes from the sideline on the field pulling guys out of the pile.

That scrum was insane. The refs had no idea who had the ball and it took them FOREVER to break up that pile. I can only imagine what was going in in there.

Definately a gutsy call by Peyton but that showed me he had confidence in their defense to stop the Colts with a short field, and if that didnt work he had the confidence in his Offense to score pts.

As we know the saints will play dirty football anyway they can. That onsides kick by the saints is just another example of how cheap and crappy their team is. I give props to the saints offense. But the special teams and the D of the saints is cheap and easy. I think the league needs to change of the rule to where there can be no onsides kick until 4th quarter. That onside kick just shows you how crappy the saints D is and how Payton does not trust his D one bit Saints does not deserve to win. The rule needs to be changed. Hell why not change the rule. Everytime you turn around a new rule is put in are one is change for some reason are another. Mind aswell make where no team can do onsides until the 4th quarter. Point blank.

This easily the most jealous, crybaby post we'll see all off-season.

You have got to be kidding me... It's football, you win by taking advantage of your opponents weakness. The Colts was expecting an onside kick, thats the perfect time to do it and none the less, it's a gutsy call. What if they didn't recover it. They played smart football.

This is getting embarASSing people.

Let the New Orleans fans have their fun. Congratulate them. Tell them way to go.

That pisses em off more than anything anyway.

By posting jealous drivel, it only solidifies the terrible things they think about us anyway.

There's no problem with the onside kick rule.

What was stupid was how many people were involved in that play. Coaches on the field, players who had no business being there, guys who weren't part of the play, it was chaos.

The officials handled it poorly, but that doesn't mean the rule should be changed.

I agree about the official's part. They took a longgg time to declare the Saints recovered it.

This is dumb. If a coach has the balls to kick an onside kickm he should be allowed to.

If the Colts had recovered the onside kick, they probably would have won the superbowl. Gutsy call by Sean P. One I don't agree with, but hey it worked.

Yea really I guess 2 point conversions should only be in the 4th quarter too.

But why? It's a genuine tactic that as rule is only used in the 4th quarter when a team is gagging to get the ball back. But why not use it whenever the hell you feel like using it as the Saints did? Alongside Mannings int it was a game defining moment & one that changed the course of the game.

It's all about tactics and to say you can only use onside kicks in the 4th qtr is nuts.

You might as well get rid all together in that case.

    • I'm really not stressing about upgrading from Bryce. I'm frustrated with our inability (or refusal) to recognize overall bad QB performance and failure to seriously address the issue. QB is the most impactful position on the field, and we're not only settling for what we've been given to this point, but we've rewarded it with a fully guaranteed 5th year extension for a player that's never played 2 NFL franchise QB quality games back to back in 3 seasons. I can't understand how that's ok from a coach's or GM's viewpoint. Successful franchises don't do things like this. It just doesn't make sense.  We do not have a top half of the league QB right now. Since we don't have that player, we should be looking for him. Pickett isn't it. Grier isn't it. Bryce hasn't proven he is yet. Until you have that sure fire franchise QB, you keep looking. You're not consistently making the playoffs, a deep run, or a SB appearance without one.  What's the worst that could happen? We end up with 2 potential number 1 QBs? How horrible.
    • Easy to understand Pickett, if this is anywhere close to on point. Canales wants to get as close to Bryce as he can- get the pace and timing in the throws as close a he can to Bryce. So the other players don’t have to adjust so much, to a new guy.       If Cam was the 1, he would look for a rocket arm.  But Bryce is the 1. Look for limited in the same way.  Low velocity, plenty of air under it, feels just like home when Picket comes in. And you have the guys on the second team not having such a radical adjustment (if they have to play) like with Dalton to Bryce.    Enter Grier. I guess we will collect those types.
    • Best part is if we draft him, we can also use him as our fourth and one QB sneaker
