I truly can't imagine a more toxic relationship that Harbaugh and Tepper. I think they would grow to despise each other. I just can't see that dynamic working out, and I fully blame Tepper for that.

That being said, I don't want any coach w/ full control. It just doesn't work in the modern NFL, there is too much homework and scouting that needs to be done by the scouts and GM, both in and out of season. \

To me what makes the most sense is first hiring a GM with a strong background in scouting and a proven track record. Then you let the GM pick the coach that fufills the vision they have for a team. That way your GM is feeding players to a coach that will use them properly. It's simplistic but the Eagles have pretty much perfected this.

FYI: Adam Johns (longtime Bears beat writer) wrote in the Athletic that if the Bears make a change at head coach this offseason, their candidate list "starts and ends" with Jim Harbaugh.

There have been behind the scenes reports that the Chicago job is his top choice. If so, and if Matt Eberflus is fired, this one might be academic.

Not before he interviews with Tepper to gain that sweet, sweet leverage for better contract.

Harbaugh would bring along a GM that shares his vision and does all the heavy lifting

Harbaugh is THE only scenario that would save this sinking ship. He brings a culture that this team sorely needs.

    • The Athletic posted their goalie rankings for the season... The description of the tiers are as follows... Where would you rank Freddie and Pyotr? And don't cheat and look up the article. I'll post their ranks and the link in a bit.
    • Refs will be in their pocket. Always have to account for that. They are 20th in rush defense. They currently have the worst pass defense in the league. I mean I want to say even Bryce could at least put up 250 or more passing yards given that but man he looked BAD when the pocket collapsed against Miami and they had the 20th pass defense. Just can't expect to consistently get clean pockets like that in this league even with the better OL's. I'd say with this being a home game hopefully our guys will be motivated regardless. We certainly seem to play much better at home. We'll see.
    • They'd never do it, because it really would be insane to do, but if I'm the Commanders, I'd seriously consider trading Daniels after this season, especially as he'd get a HUGE return for him. He's RG3 part 2, with his body type and style of game, I just can't see how he holds up long term, he's going to end up having a seriously injury prone career. It would take some massive balls (or pure insanity) to pull the trigger on trading him, but I do think 5 years from now it would be looked back upon as a smart trade.
